Foreword Dear member, dear student, dear friend, The Berliner Börsenkreis e.v. has prepared an exciting event program for the coming summer semester 2015! The season s opening is the information evening on the 23rd of April. It will offer you an opportunity to inform yourself about the current projects within the society and meet the board of directors in person. Berlin is an international city, that is why our English Stammtisch has quickly become an important part of our program. This semester it will be offered twice. Again, you will be able to network with international students from all over the world, exchange ideas and opinions. If you are planning to go abroad for studies, for an exchange semester or similar causes, keep our Stammtisch in mind here you can always practice and improve your English language skills. However, it s the classic monthly German Stammtisch which has become the heart of our program. That is why we strongly recommend you to find some time and visit it meet others interested in stock exchange or the BBK team in a cosy relaxed atmosphere. The BBK always tries to offer its members a broad selection of events for people of all academic and professional backgrounds. That is the reason why we pay equal attention to our student and senior members.

Our student members should definitely be looking forward to the trip to Frankfurt. With famous business players, such as PwC, Commerzbank and BlackRock the trip is an absolute Highlight of this semester. It will also include a visit to the Frankfurt Stock Exchange at the end. Juni 115 10623 Berlin 6:30 p.m. You re asking yourself why Berlin needs a stock exchange society and whether there are really some students interested in finance in the capital? The BBK, the Berlin stock exchange society, exists for almost 30 years now and is entirely managed by a team of young Berlin students. And now we invite you to get to know us better! During our info-evening we will tell you about our current projects and plans as well as our running tasks. After the presentation, you will get a chance to ask the members of the managing board and our active members anything that you find intriguing and enjoy a cold drink on the house!

It s an informal gathering at Café Anne Koschke not far from the Hackescher Markt where we discuss current topics and news from the world of finance. In the beginning of every Stammtisch there is a 15-to-20- minute-long presentation, after which we ask questions, talk, debate, but most importantly, drink beer. A nice evening is therefore guaranteed! The topic of a coming Stammtisch is posted on our website several days in advance.

Tu. 19.05.2015 Lecture: Rocket Internet Time: 6:30 p.m., location: tba Rocket Internet was founded in 2007 by brothers Marc, Oliver und Alexander Samwer. The company primarily invests in various internet start-ups. On the 2nd October 2014 it completed an IPO. Together with START Berlin we would like to invite you to an evening events with Rocket. Andreas Winiarski, SVP Global Communications & Corporate Spokesman, will tell us about the history of the company and explain the mechanics of its initial public offering. Elena Aubell, Team Lead Talent Acquisition Finance and Legal, will give us an insight of what it s like to be with Rocket. During the Get-together afterwards you can ask your questions personally. Dr. Andreas Neubauer, who used to be in the managing board of the BBK and currently works as the Head of Equity Research Germany and Austria in the Deutschen Bank, will tell us about his job and answer to all of your questions. The quotes are determined by the players themselves based on the information they get in the beginning. You do not need any specific knowledge to take part, but you will definitely get some knowledge while you play! The 3 winners get books from sponsors and a chance to participate in the Trading Game Competition in the winter semester.

We. 27.05.2015 BBK goes to Frankfurt-am-Main You re looking for an internship in Germany s financial capital? You would prefer to avoid the hectics of the application process and get in touch with the management directly? That is the reason why we offer our student members an opportunity to take part in the exclusive trip to Frankfurt with us. The journey will take place from 27.5. till 29.5. and will therefore last for 3 days. Participation fee is fixed at 45 Euros. It already includes transportation and accomodation. Just like the last time we want to give you a chance to communicate with representatives of the large companies and get invaluable insights directly from people in the business. For this year we managed to secure events with Commerzbank, PwC and BlackRock. Beside that we will visit the Frankfurt Stock Exchange as a part of our finance-cultural program. Th. 11.06.2015 Podium discussion Eurocrisis and no way out: the role of the monetary system The crisis of the European currency the Euro does not let us to catch a breath. We offer you to take part in this exclusive evening discussion with monetary, gold and economy experts. During the event, our guests will try to answer to questions such as what are the crucial reasons for this crisis?, what role does the monetary system play in the modern currency policies? and what mechanisms can protect countries from new crises?. Juni 115 10623 Berlin Referenten: / Speakers: Herr Dr. Naser Deutsche Bundesbank On the 22nd of January 2015 the European Central Bank decided to buy back state and private securities in volumes exceeding 1 billion Euro. The buyback should be taking place until September 2016, or at least until the moment when consumer prices change their development trend to that satisfying the ECB and ist goal of a medium-term inflation rate at under 2%. While internationally the annonuncement was met with a positive feedback and as a needed step to avoid deflation risks, it was heavily critised in Germany. Dr. Naser, Macroeconomic specialist from the Administration of the German Bundesbank in Berlin and Brandenburg, will present the concept of quantitative easing as well as prospects and risks related to it.
