It also has dual input for connecting a thermal to measure the temperature of the isolating transformer. Designed to be a reading point of error and also to act on the network. It has an auxiliary relay (NO C NC) which is connected when it exceeds the set temperature or insulation threshold. The relay operation is indicated by a LED. Up to 4 repeater panels CR5 can be connected to a single unit of this device. Configured using the buttons on the front and the numeric indication of the display (See installation manual). Power supply, error and alarm indicators via LEDs of different colours and a test button which checks the proper functioning of this device VA40, CR5 and TI1 at the same time. Possibility of providing the device capable of communication via RS485 protocol with the purpose of signal monitoring by PC, PLC,, etc. 1.2- Dimensions: * mm 1.3- Technical characteristics: Power supply 115-230 Vac ± 20% Frequency 50-60 Hz Consumption 5 VA Net control 24-230 Vac, 50-60 Hz Current measuring 1 ma Display 3 digits Low insulation measuring range 50 to 500 kω Over-current 1 to 99,9 A Temperature control 20 to 180 ºC. Previously, this device must have been set with the admissible current in this network according to its loads. 2.2- Dimensions: * mm 2.3- Technical characteristics: Reference voltage for insulation 0,72 kv Frequency 50-60 Hz Test voltage 3 kv x 1 50 Hz Insulation class Class B Protection degree IP-20 Continuous overload 1,2In Thermal overload 40In Ambient temperature -25 to 50 C Storage temperature -40 to 80 C Standards IEC/EN 60044-1
4 / 8 3- REPEATER PANEL CR5: 3.1- Functions: Signalling of insulation faults or network overloads. It has two buttons: - TEST BUTTON: Simulates an insulation fault and tests the insulation monitor relay operation. When pressing this button, a warning light and an acoustic alarm of insulation fault should work. - SILENCE BUTTON: Silences the acoustic alarm. This device is intended to act only as a reading point of error, not operating on the network. Several of these devices can be connected in parallel, being possible to silence the acoustic alarm of all of them just silencing one CR5. 3.2.- Dimensions: * mm 3.3- Technical characteristics: Power supply 12-24 Vdc (from VA40 or network) Test button For VA40 and CR5 devices Silence button Acoustic alarm silencer LED signal For power supply, insulation fault, over-temperature and net overload Maximum consumption 1,5 VA Acoustic alarm 2400 Hz signal. 2 Hz intermittent Connections By screw. 6 / 8 4.2- CONFIGURATION: 4.2.1- Frontal view of the insulation monitoring relay VA40: 4.2.2- Programming: 4.2.2.1- Parameters setup: select the parameters, enable their configuration and reading in the display. The options are R, Z, T1, T2 and I. ENTER TO MENU: Press buttons C + B for 3 seconds >>> SET LED turns on. ACCEPT: Press button A (Enter) to select a value. When the last is reached, it returns to first. EXIT MENU: Do not press any button for 10 seconds.
7 / 8 4.2.2.2- Regulation of alarm trigger levels: Minimum and maximum values are selected in order to configure the trigger threshold for the insulation monitoring relay. ENTER TO MENU: Press button B for 3 seconds >>> SET LED turns on. ACCEPT: Press button A (Enter) to select a value. When the last is reached, it returns to first. It only allows to access to the parameters enabled (see point 2.1). EXIT MENU: Do not press any button for 10 seconds. 4.3- INSULATION MONITORING RELAY USE: 4.3.1- Parameters display. Maximum and minimum values: This option allows checking the enabled parameters, active outputs of the auxiliary relay and configured levels. ENTER TO MENU: Press buttons D + C for 3 seconds. CHANGE VALUE: Press button C (Enter) to select a value. When the last is reached, it returns to first. EXIT MENU: Do not press any button for 10 seconds. 4.3.2- Measurements display: Corresponds to the normal reading of the insulation monitoring relay.
