3 2) AUXILIARY POWER SUPPLY The VRT200 has 2 power supply inputs: the first gives power supply only to the unit and it has a small capacity (5VA max.), the second gives power supply to the fan motors, therefore it has to be connected with the appropriate power supply. The lack of the first power supply input excludes every functioning both of the unit and of the fans, even if we have voltage on the second input. 3) FUNCTIONING When the unit turns on it makes a LAMP TEST and it goes in REMOTE mode. In this way the fans are activated by the remote input contacts closure. HOW TO START THE FANS BY THE PANEL To start the motors in local mode push the button LOCAL/REMOTE in order to set up the LOCAL mode (led LOCAL ON and led REMOTE OFF); push now the button START/ STOP in order to activate or disactivate the motors. At the end of these phases in LOCAL mode, push again the button LOCAL/REMOTE in order to make the unit works in normal conditions (REMOTE mode) HOW TO START THE FANS BY REMOTE Fans are activated when ENABLE input is driven by FAN contact (10-11) of the unit T Push the button L.T. in order to make the LAMP TEST. HOW TO MAKE A REGENERATION OF A MOTOR IN TRIP To restart a turned off motor after an over/under current alarm, press RESET push button after having carried out the due inspection and possible repairs. HOW TO CHECK THE MOTORS NOTE: Led In on: correct working of the motor Led >In on: motor alarm and stop for max. current Led <In on: motor alarm and stop for min. current The alarm conditions of a motor or the lack of auxiliary power supply in the meter cause the closing of contacts 8-9 of ALARM/FAULT relay VRT200 protection relays 3

4 4) PROGRAMMING STEP PUSH BUTTON RESULT NOTES 1 Programming Start The led showing the highest admitted absorbed current variation (±%) is flashing. 2 Choice of the data item to be programmed Load the highest admitted current variation as percentage value (5%, 10%) with respect to the rated value In. 3 Confirmation of chosen data item % led is fixed while CAL led is flashing. 4 Motors start for automatic calibration To execute the automatic calibration, all the motors have to be connected with a definitive configuration. START: motors are ON for 90 seconds, CAL led is fixed while STATUS section leds are flashing. When the calibration is over, the motors turn off and CAL led is flashing again. 5 Exit and programming confirmation The unit gets ready to work in REMOTE mode. 4 VRT200 protection relays

6 6) WARRANTY The series VRT units are under warranty for 12 months from the delivery date signed on the unit. The warranty is recognised when the unit breaks down due to some causes chargeable to TECSYSTEM srl such as production faults or insufficient calibration. The warranty is not valid if the unit has been tampered or when it has been damaged by a wrong voltage supply beyond the highest working limits (220Vac). The warranty is not valid if the unit should be burnt out by too high transient voltage peaks. In this case TECSYS- TEM srl is not answerable for damages caused by faulted or defective units. All the delivery expenses (there and back) of the unit must be paid by the Customer. In case of dispute, the qualified FORUM is the one of Milan. Warranty is always EXW our company in Corsico (incomterms 2000). 6 VRT200 protection relays

7 7) FAN MOTOR CONNECTION Motors must be DIRECTLY connected to VRT200, since it gives PHASE and NEUTRAL to each motor.
