July 30, 2012 Mark Norton, PE, LEED AP WATER RESOURCES & PLANNING MANAGER SANTA ANA WATERSHED PROJECT AUTHORITY (SAWPA) Mr. Norton holds a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Public Administration. He is a registered civil engineer in California and Colorado and accredited LEED BD&C (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) professional under the US Green Building Council s LEED program. Mr. Norton s background includes 30 years of engineering experience in a broad range of civil engineering projects. Mr. Norton serves as the Water Resources and Planning Manager for the Santa Ana Watershed Project Authority (SAWPA), a joint powers agency organized to support water resources in the Santa Ana River Watershed. Concurrent, with his department management duties, Mr. Norton also serves as the Authority Administrator for the Lake Elsinore and San Jacinto Watersheds Authority (LESJWA), a joint powers agency created to enhance water quality for Lake Elsinore and San Jacinto River Watershed. July 30, 2012 Lisa Carp, EnXco s Vice President Human Resources Women of Wind Energy Lisa Carp serves as enxco s Vice President, Human Resources and has overall responsibility for enxco s employment practices, recruiting activities, employee benefits, workers compensation, training, policies and procedures, and compensation. Ms. Carp has been in the wind-energy industry since 1998. Her prior experience includes Human Resources Management within the medical industry, medical device manufacturing industry, and the insurance and financial products industry. Providing Advance Life Support in the hospitals and pre-hospital setting, and specializing in delivery of quality patient care in hazardous access situations has defined his career. He has deep involvement in improvement in procedure, development of teams, and research of new technologies to protect threats to public health and safety at a variety of levels. August 1, 2012 at 9am Lindsay McHolm- Interview Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Manager of Community Relations Angels Baseball Lindsay grew up in Irvine, CA as an Angels fan and attended UCLA. She graduated in 2004 with my BA in Communications and a minor in Anthropology. Right out of college, she worked for the Make-A-Wish Foundation as the Marketing Coordinator and at a local elementary school in their literacy program. She started with the Angels in 2005 as the Administrative Assistant in the Communications Department but had always had a strong interest and passion in Community Outreach. In mid-2006, the dream position of the Community Relations Coordinator opened up and she moved over to Community Relations, but still under the umbrella of Communications. In 2010, she was promoted to Manager and here she sits today! Since coming on board, she has been involved in countless hospital visits and school visits, hosted groups from Make-A-Wish to Big Brothers Big Sisters at ballpark, increased the involvement and fundraising efforts of the Angels Wives groups, developed the Angels Adopt-A-School program and resurrected the Angels 5k. August 1, 2012 at 2pm Raymond Foster Los Angeles Police Department Raymond E. Foster was a sworn member of the Los Angeles Police Department for 24 years. He retired in 2003 at the rank of Lieutenant. He holds a bachelor s from the Union Institute and University in Criminal Justice Management and a Master s Degree in Public Financial Management from California State University, Fullerton. He has completed his doctoral studies in business research. Raymond is a graduate of the West Point Leadership program and has attended law enforcement, technology and leadership programs such as the National Institute for Justice, Technology Institute, Washington, DC. Raymond has been a part-time lecturer at California State University, Fullerton and is currently a faculty advisor and chair of the Criminal Justice Program at the Union Institute and University. He has experience teaching upper division courses in law enforcement, public policy, technology and leadership. Raymond is an experienced author who has published numerous articles in a wide range of venues including magazines such as Government Technology, Mobile Government, Airborne Law Enforcement Magazine, and Police One. He has appeared on the History Channel and radio programs in the United States and Europe as subject matter expert in technological applications in law enforcement. His first book, Police Technology is used in over 100 colleges and universities nationwide. He latest book, Leadership: Texas Hold em Style has been adopted by several universities for course work in leadership; by several civil service organizations and required reading for promotion; and, has been well received in the wider market. August 2, 2012 at 9am John Semcken Pacific Palms Resort John Semcken III is vice president of Majestic Realty Co. When he joined the firm in 1996, he had primary responsibility for identifying, analyzing, and negotiating a site for a sports and entertainment complex to house Los Angeles's professional sports teams. This became the newly opened Staples Center. Earlier, Semcken's real estate experience centered around office development and leasing, having worked for Smith & Hricik Urban Development, Gerald Hines Interest, and the Charles Dunn Company. A member of the board of directors of many civic organizations including the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission, Metropolitan YMCA, and Boy Scouts of America, Semcken holds a B.S. in aerospace engineering from the U.S Naval Academy. August 2, 2012 at 10:30am MSJC Student, Jason Fuertes Industry Hills Golf Club Jason Fuertes is the Assistant Superintendent at Industry Hills Golf Club. He is currently attending Mt. San Jacinto College to complete his A.S. in Turf & Landscape Management. He grew up working on the golf course and his love for golf management lead him to complete a certificate and continue to pursue an AS degree. After he completes his general education and major preparation at MSJC he would like to transfer to Cal Poly Pomona and study Plant Science. MSJC Program- Turf Management

August 2, 2012 at 2pm Bill Wilson Wilson Creek Winery Nestled at the end of Rancho California Road in Temecula Valley lies the Wilson family estate vineyard and winery. When the Wilson family acquired a 20-acre winery in 1996, the intentions were simple. We wanted to run a fun, family business producing great wines from the conducive climate and soil of the Temecula Valley. HOW WE OVERCAME CHALLENGES Good time management Persistence with certain individuals to land the interview When we lost an interview decided to make an unexpected stop and do on the spot interviews We were lucky to be in the process of interviewing an engineering major when we had camera trouble, so he was able to fix it for us so we could continue the interview. We were unable to film our counselor follow-up, exploration of interview themes conclusion that we had planned due to continuing camera malfunction.
