3 Head of Marketing Job Description: The marketing director needs to be comfortable approaching press and the media about Enactus Exeter and be familiar with all the projects run by the society. Ideally they will have some basic skills in graphics design, leaflet designing and social media to enable them to produce our marketing material such as monthly newsletters for members, flyers, presentations and setup event and project pages. This year we are really trying to utilise social media both Twitter and Facebook. Marketing Team (2): 1 Member and 1 committee member - Design and implement marketing plans which promote Enactus Exeter - Execute in close collaboration with the committee plans for recruitment of new members in September - Develop and implement plans that will further publicise Enactus Exeter and our projects - Work in conjunction with the IT director to produce Enactus Exeter promotional videos - Plan a one-off Enactus Exeter re-launch event in the first few weeks of term - Record weekly activities for the purposes of team accountability and sustainability - Complete and report back to the tasks assigned by the Head of Operations - Update the Facebook, Twitter and Enactus Exeter blog on a regular basis - Attend and contribute constructively to committee meetings Skills Required: A highly motivated individual with a strong vision for the expansion of Enactus Exeter, an individual with excellent time management skills who can ensure deadlines are met and a committed individual preferably with some marketing experience in some form. Be very committed time-wise to the team. Most importantly, to value teamwork and take initiative. Role for Member: To raise the awareness and profile of Enactus Exeter at every opportunity. Setup and run marketing campaigns, stalls, project fairs and contact local media and external stakeholders with regards to keeping them updated about Enactus.
4 HR Officer Job Description: They will work closely with the HR director and manage the day-today HR needs of the society. Tasks will include managing career opportunities, training sessions, personal development plans, the well-being of our members and socials for our members. By working alongside the HR Director, they will ensure a good balance of professional development of our members and a strong sense of enjoyment within the society. Finally, you will oversee the creation of new management roles and project roles. Engage with project leaders and members to collect and report feedback to the HR Director Ensure that the vision of Enactus is ingrained within the members Provide ideas that will improve the initiative, creativity and enjoyment of the society Identify the right skills that are needed for project leaders and members and report back to HR Director Measure the positive activities of our members and project leaders Create a programme of recognition for our members alongside the HR Director Scout for potential training events/workshop relating to project management or entrepreneurialism that are held by other organisations Record weekly activities for the purposes of team accountability and sustainability Negotiate with those potential organisations with the HR Director Design and implement training events and workshops with the HR Director Perform administrative functions such as measuring the activity/participation rate of members and categorising data Participate in recruitment events Be well-versed in the activities of other Enactus teams and their culture Design and implement the best socials! Skills Required: An individual with great people skills, by being a confident and charismatic communicator, and be a highly organised individual as he/she will be managing over 130 members alongside the HR Director. Most importantly, to value teamwork and take initiative. Experience or a career ambition to go into HR is preferable.
5 Corporate Fundraising Director Job Description: The applicant will be responsible for meeting with project leaders, sourcing available grants that fit their criteria, and applying for them with the team. You will essentially oversee the applications of numerous grant applications, applying for 0000 s of pounds. You will also plan and develop fundraising strategies with each project. You will play a crucial role in securing income for existing and new project opportunities as well as the development of our members. Fundraising and grants (8): 7 members and 1 committee member Scout for potential sourcing opportunities Report to the Head of Operations Negotiate with potential organisations and people that may provide funding to the society Build key relationships with potential organisations Keep up to date with best practice in fundraising Attend and contribute constructively to committee meetings Design and implement a calendar of fundraising activities throughout the year Work closely with the Head of Marketing to ensure the success of cause-related fundraising events Record weekly activities for the purposes of team accountability and sustainability Complete and report back to the tasks assigned by the Vice-President Develop a timeline of different deadlines for different grant making organisations Write professional and persuasive grant proposals Skills Required: An individual with excellent time management and organisational skills. Be fluent in English and have persuasive written communication skills. Possesses a macroperspective on Enactus Exeter activities. Be very committed time-wise to the team. Most importantly, to value teamwork and take initiative.
6 IT Director Job Description: The applicant will oversee and manage all of the societies IT needs including the website, email system (if any problems arise) and support the marketing director and HR director in creating marketing materials and managing databases. Finally the IT director will play a crucial role in the preparation of our national presentation including videos, animations, sound and effects which will be presented to large amount of senior business executives in leading FTSE 100 companies. Communicate with Head of Marketing to design creative marketing materials Assist the HR Director to create efficient systems and databases to oversee member engagement Record weekly activities for the purposes of team accountability and sustainability Assist the team in creating persuasive and professional presentations during competitions Skills Required: Previous IT experience is a must. A highly motivated and organised individual who is confident in IT, including using programmes such as Adobe Photoshop, Fireworks or Illustrator. Previous experience in managing or maintaining a website is preferred.
7 Head of Finance Role description: The Head of Finance will ensure that the vision of Enactus Exeter is met financially, such as financial insights and analysis of the society. It must make sure that Enactus Exeter can sustain all of its operational activities in an effective and efficient manner. It occupies a large strategic role within the society, therefore it possesses an influential role. Design an Enactus Exeter budget that includes all of its current and potential activities Set key financial goals Monitor the society s cash flow Oversee and collaborate with every Treasurer from each project Record weekly activities for the purposes of team accountability and sustainability Attend and contribute constructively to committee meetings Design financial models for the society Provide best practice financial management strategies to commercial project leaders, treasurers and all other positions relevant to the financially sustainability of the society Collaborate with the Corporate Fundraising Director in order to achieve key financial targets Advise on financial policies for the society Maintain a cash flow for the year Authorise society refunds for our members Be fully aware of the financial policies of the Student s Guild to ensure the society s mobility Identify risks and opportunities for the society s activities that it wishes to undertake Complete and report back to the tasks assigned by the Vice-President Negotiate with potential partner organisations Skills required: A highly driven and motivated individual who can provide a direction to the mission of Enactus Exeter by being a clear and efficient communicator. 8 Head of Projects Job Description: The Head of Projects occupies a crucial role that determines the success of Enactus Exeter s social projects. It becomes the embodiment of the values and strategies of Enactus project to support the goals of the project leaders. Therefore, the Head of Projects will be in constant communication with the project leaders and will require an entrepreneurial spirit as well as excel in strategic planning. Design and implement effective and efficient training plans alongside the HR Director Oversee the training of project leaders and their progress to success Actively communicate with project leaders and members and give a clear direction Record all activities of project leaders Identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of Enactus Exeter s projects Continuously review project plans Record weekly activities for the purposes of team accountability and sustainability Attend and contribute constructively to committee meetings Report to the Head of Finance for the financial needs of projects Attend to most of the Enactus trainings Actively engage with other Enactus teams in the UK or abroad to learn from their mistakes and strategies that will lead to the success of Enactus Exeter s projects Be well-versed with Enactus projects worldwide *Attend to Enactus UK s Grantham Training Weekend around at the end of the month of November (this is a required attendance) Report the needs of project leaders to the committee as well as to the Business Advisory Board (BAB) Seek potential partners for project when needed Required to learn effective planning strategies from www.diytoolkit.org Complete and report back to the tasks assigned by the Vice-President Skill required: An individual that has great people skills to confidently and effectively communicate to the team. 9 Project Leaders Job description: The project leaders are the ones who drive the values and causes of Enactus worldwide. What project leaders do define the great achievements of Enactus, and therefore take on the most important role, which develops themselves, their members and the communities who struggle. They must be entrepreneurial and creative, as well as be open to learn from diverse fields outside of their degree in order to create new solutions and ensure the success of their projects. An individual who projects a strong feeling of empathy for their beneficiaries and can confidently and clearly communicate their ideas.
