2011: A year in images TECHNO SKY GETS NATO AQAP QUALIFICATION 2110/160 LIBYAN DELEGATION VISITS THE ROMA ACC Rome, 12 January - Techno Sky, the company 100% controlled by ENAV, dealing with the management and maintenance of plants used for the air traffic control, has received qualification by the Ministry of Defence General Directorate for Telecommunications, Computer Systems and Advanced Technologies (Teledife), of the Techno Sky Quality Management System compliance with NATO AQAP 2110 publications. This qualification allows participation in tenders announced by military organisations for the design of installation, maintenance and technical assistance activities for plant and electronic systems to support flight operations, guaranteeing to the customer the intervention of the Government Quality Assurance Representative according to the NATO publication STANAG 4107 - Mutual Acceptance of Government Quality Assurance and usage of the AQAPs. Ciampino, 14 January - A Libyan delegation from the aeronautical sector visits the Area Control Centre (ACC) in Roma-Ciampino. The delegation (in the photo), which included the President of the LCAA (Libyan Civil Aviation Authority), was welcomed by ENAV Director General, Massimo Garbini, and the Head of ACC, Rinaldo Malè, who illustrated the functioning of the radar room controlling 63% of Italian airspace, and development of the technology connected with the air traffic management undertaken by ENAV. ENAV ATTENDS THE 4 th BLUE MED GOVERNING BODY MEETING MEETING OF THE FLIGHT SAFETY RESEARCH CENTRE ASSOCIATION Malta, 24 January - The Maltese Ministry of Transport and Communications hosts the 4th BLUE MED Governing Body meeting, attended by all the representatives of the project member countries: Italy, Greece, Malta and Cyprus, as well as the partner countries: Egypt, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Lebanon and Albania. The aim of the meeting was to formalise the planning process for the institutional agreements for the implementation of the FAB BLUE MED. Forlì, 28 February - Twenty-six air traffic control staff from CAAC/ATMB, the Chinese company for air traffic management, attend an update course at the ENAV Academy Training Centre in Forlì to consolidate their skills in flight assistance services. 2011: A year in images ENAV ATTENDS ATC GLOBAL 2011 Amsterdam, 8-10 March - ENAV participates in ATC Global, the most important European appointment dedicated to management and air traffic control activities and services. As in previous years, it was held at the RAI Exhibition and Congress Centre in Amsterdam. The ENAV stand also hosted the subsidiary Techno Sky, specialised in the management, assistance and maintenance of air traffic control facilities. ENAV presented the new commercial proposal developed for the world of Air Traffic Management and the international projects in which it participates: SESAR, BLUE MED and 4-Flight. ENAV GETS THE CIVIL PROTECTION GOLDEN MEDAL 35 th ICASC MEETING Rome, 14 March - The Head of the Civil Aviation Department, Franco Gabrielli, awards the Gold Medal for the efforts made by the Italian Company for Air Navigation Services to assist the population in Abruzzo struck by the earthquake on 6 April 2009. The medal was accepted by ENAV CEO Guido Pugliesi, (first on the left). This public award was issued under a decree by the Prime Minister dated 11 October 2010 for the corps, agencies and persons who contributed to the rescue work after the earthquake. Rome, 29 March - The report to Parliament by the Court of Audit on the management of ENAV contains yet another positive evaluation for the 2009 financial year, stressing that the Italian provider has been confirmed a one of the best European ATC service providers. In the report, the Court of Audit observed that ENAV has further improved its operational and management efficiency, also thanks to the use of considerable financial resources for new technological investments to guarantee the increasingly high reliability and quality standards in the sector. Rome, 20 June - ENAV and General Command of the Port Authorities Corps (Co.Ge.) sign a Memorandum of Understanding intended to regulate the alarm service for aircraft in emergency conditions at sea. The tender was issued to prepare the Ukrainian ANSP for the traffic increase forecast for the 14th European Football Championship in 2012, due to take place in Poland and Ukraine. The Ukrainian technicians will take specialisation courses at the ENAV Academy Training Center in Forlì (in the photo). ENAV PARTICIPATES IN AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL ASIA Nicosia, 27 July - The 6th BLUE MED Governing Body meeting in Cyprus was attended by the EU member countries of the project: Cyprus, Greece, Italy and Malta. The meeting also resulted in the agreement under which ENAV will represent the suppliers of flight navigation services of the FAB BLUE MED on the Network Management Board, the Body recently set up to handle the coordination and the technical-operational and strategic planning support of the ATM/ANS within the Single European Sky. ENAV PARTICIPATES IN THE VEDRO MEETING ON INFRASTRUCTURES AND TRANSPORT Kuala Lumpur, 3-4 August - ENAV participates in Air Traffic Control Asia. The event, bringing together the civil aviation departments from all of South-East Asia and the Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority, discussed topics related to the safety of air traffic management and the implementation of new generation control systems. Drò (Trento), 28-31 August - ENAV participates in the vedro meeting on Infrastructures and Transport. The event is a workshop for ideas, i.e. a knowledge exchange network consisting of over 1,500 people including university professors businessmen, scientists, professionals, politicians, artists, journalists, writers and the non-profit sector. Davide Tassi, Resp. of Strategic Studies and Sector Analysis, spoke for ENAV on the current status of air transport infrastructures. 13

ENAV MEETS NATS REGIONAL PERFORMANCE FRAMEWORK WORKSHOP Ciampino, 15 September - At the Roma ACC, ENAV meets top management for Operations of the British provider NATS. The aim of the meeting was to identify the specific areas for focusing best practices. The British delegation, led by Simon Hocquard, NATS Operations Director, was welcomed by the Head of the Operational Area, Massimo Bellizzi, and the Head of the Rome Area Control Centre, Rinaldo Malè. The system used in the Italian Area Control Centres, where the so-called electronic environment has been introduced for over a decade, was presented at the meeting. Rome, 21-22 September - The ICAO seminar (hosted by ENAV) entitled Regional Performance Framework Workshop is held in Rome on 21-22 September. The workshop was attended by experts from the countries in the region as well as representatives of International Organisations. 2011: A year in images ENAV DG APPOINTED CHAIRMAN OF THE EU ATM NETWORK MANAGEMENT BOARD PRESS CONFERENCE ITALY-CHINA FOUNDATION Rome, 27/28 September - Italy, through ENAV, achieves an important recognition by the European Commission, with the appointment of Massimo Garbini, DG ENAV, as Chairman of the EU ATM Network Management Board. The appointment was unanimously approved by the airlines, airports and all the other European service providers, with the full support of the EU Commission for the Single European Sky, the Body formed by the representatives of the States and the civil and military aviation organisations of the EU Member States. Milan, 29 September - The press conference for the inauguration of the third year of the permanent training school of the Italy-China Foundation, led by Cesare Romiti, is held in Milan with the participation for ENAV of the Head of the Academy, Giuseppe Baldetti. The ENAV manager illustrated the Company s role in training a group of 24 air traffic controllers of CAAC/ATMB, the company that manages Chinese air traffic. EXTRAORDINARY SESSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF MILAN ENAV TRADE UNION SOCCER TOURNAMENT Milan, 6 October - At the Milan City Hall in Palazzo Marino, an extraordinary session of the City Council is held on the topic of Flight safety on the 10th anniversary of the Linate accident. At the session the ENAV DG Massimo Garbini illustrated what the Company has done in these years to make air transport increasingly safe. Viterbo, 6-9 October - The 2011 ENAV Trade Union 11-man soccer tournament for ENAV employees is held. The tournament included 130 players, with fellow workers from the various trade unions such as FIT-CISL, UIL T, COBAS Private Work, ATM-PP, FILT-CGIL, the Operational Area team, industrial relations and Techno Sky. 2011: A year in images ENAV HOSTED THE 7 th ANSP STRATEGIC BOARD MEETING OF BLUE MED COURT OF AUDIT - ENAV FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT PROMOTED Rome, 25 October - The 7th meeting of the ANSP Strategic Board of BLUE MED is held in Rome at ENAV headquarters, with the participation of the representatives of service providers for air navigation within BLUE MED. The meeting, chaired by ENAV Director General Massimo Garbini, resulted in important progress in the definition of the BLUE MED FAB ANSP Agreement, to be signed by the European ANSPs forming part of the FAB BLUE MED as set forth in EU Reg. 176/2011. Rome, 28 October 2011 - The Court of Audit issues a positive assessment of the financial management of ENAV in 2010. In their report to Parliament, the State accounting officials highlighted that the Company was confirmed as one of the best European ATC Service Providers. SEMINAR ON SESAR AND THE MILITARY ENAV AT THE DUBAI AIR SHOW Venice, 28 October - The seminar entitled SESAR and the Military. Implications of the Single European Sky Implementation on the Military Air Component is held at the Giorgio Cini Foundation in Venice. ENAV was represented by the Director General, Massimo Garbini. Dubai, 13-17 November - The new edition of the Dubai Air Show, the most important fair in the Middle East for the air traffic sector, takes place at Dubai International Airport. The event was attended by 890 exhibitors from 47 Countries. ENAV, together with the subsidiary Techno Sky, participated in the event with a stand to present its integrated ENAV Services commercial offer to the public and the international delegations. 17

AVIATION SAFETY WORKSHOP: SAFETY IN ITALY 10 YEARS FROM THE LINATE ACCIDENT ROUND TABLE JUST CULTURE: THE CULTURE OF PREVENTION IN FLIGHT ACTIVITIES Rome, 16 November - The conference on the status of aviation safety in our country takes place at the Casa dell Aviatore in Rome. Ten years after the Linate accident, all the components of the aeronautical sector have made intensive efforts to prevent any recurrence of a similar event. Among these, the creation of the Safety Management System and the State Safety Programme to guarantee safety standards that are constantly updated with the increase in air traffic. ENAV CEO MEETS THE LIBYAN MINISTER OF TRANSPORT AND SIGNS AN AGREEMENT WITH THE LYCAA Tripoli, 7 December - In Tripoli, Libyan Minister of Transport, Yussef Al-Whishi, in the presence of the Italian Ambassador, Giuseppe Buccino Grimaldi, received ENAV CEO Massimo Garbini, who illustrated the contents of the Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation with the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority. The cooperation agreement, signed by ENAV CEO Massimo Garbini and by LCAA Director General, Abdulrazag M. Zatout, includes the providing of ATCOs training courses and the development of flight navigation assistance services by Libya, ground technology for safe flight management and the development of the air traffic management system. ENAV FLIGHT INSPECTION FLEET ACHIEVES 50,000 FLIGHT HOURS Ciampino, 19 December - The ceremony marking 50,000 flight hours of the Flight Inspection fleet and the inauguration of the new Hangar 127 takes place at the Rome Ciampino Airport, attended by ENAV CEO, Massimo Garbini. The ceiling of 50,000 flight hours is an important result for this activity, now provided by ENAV with its own fleet of 3 P180 Avanti II aircraft, and forming part of the ENAV Services commercial offer.
