Preface The educational statistics contribute to the quality and development of the Austrian educational system. The Statistical Guide 2015 of the Federal Ministry of Education and Women s Affairs presents facts and figures about the educational system - particularly from the educational documentation of the previous school year 2014/15 - and about adult education. In addition to the familiar charts with data on schools, classes and pupils, the booklet includes figures concerning students of the University Colleges of Teacher Education and the teaching staff. The 2015 issue of the Statistical Guide continues the bilingual series of the BMBF publications with the latest statistical data of the previous school year.
