Tokaj Budapest Nyíregyháza Balaton
WELCOME Thus tetraplegia seems to have been a neglected, indeed almost a forbidden field for modern hand surgery... was written in Erik Moberg s monograph more than 30 years ago The three day course is based on management and current concepts in the surgical rehabilitation of upper limbs in tetraplegic patients. Topics include anatomy, biomechanics, suture technique, reconstruction of elbow extensor, reconstruction of thumb and finger extensors, reconstruction of thumb and finger flexors, reconstruction of intrinsics, combined procedures and new developments, spasticity, clinical examination and case discussion. Our aim is to provide you with a reliable toolbox of operations that can be applied in the majority of reconstructions necessary in tetraplegia hand surgery. Therefore, much time will be spent on practicing surgical procedures in cadavers. Besides the much demanding scientific work during the course, organizers try to provide participants with the opportunity to get to know each other and have a glimpse of the famous Tokaj region as well. SOCIAL PROGRAMS 6 April, 2011 Wednesday 18.00 19.00 WINE TASTING IN THE RÁKÓCZI CELLAR IN TOKAJ The Rákóczi Cellar is one of those rare places where dreams and reality mix in the fantasy of visitors. In the course of centuries the cellar, built at the beginning of the 15th century, was owned by kings, sovereigns, princes and generals. Its imposing knights hall is the largest underground hall of this wine region and this is where the orders elected János Szapolyai the king of Hungary in 1526. 19.00 21.30 DINNER IN THE WINE GALLERY The Wine Gallery was built over a 300-year-old historical cellar and opened its doors in 2006. This unique cellar can hold 2000 hectoliters of wine. Five 4000-liter barrels, bigger in size than a man stand in the cellar as memories showing the visitors something about the old times wine-growing. 7 April, 2011 Thursday 20.00 22.00 CONCERT OF THE CANTEMUS CHOIR AND DINNER The one hour-long concert of the world famous Cantemus Choir will be held in the concert hall of the Zoltán Kodály primary school. The Cantemus was formed in 1975 as a primary school choir. Like other school choirs the eldest members leave and new members join every year as part of the normal progression of the state school education system. Cantemus has however become a special choir because the standards and successes it has achieved have given it a national and international reputation. The concert will be followed by a standing reception held in the same building. 9 April, 2011 Saturday 18.00 19.00 WINE TASTING IN THE RÁKÓCZI CELLAR IN TOKAJ The Rákóczi Cellar is one of those rare places where dreams and reality mix in the fantasy of visitors.
