Remember to be safe while trick or treating: -follow the rules of the road -only go to homes with a porch light on -never enter a stranger s home or car for a treat -never consume unwrapped food or open beverage items -parents should sort and check treats before you eat The library is excited to announce a new online resource: BrainHQ. Think of it like a workout for your mind. A recent AARP survey reports 9 in 10 people say brain health is important, but few know how to maintain it. BrainHQ is an easy way to make brain health a priority. BrainHQ is an online suite of 27 exercises with 840+ levels of training organized around the 6 core cognitive areas of Attention, Brain Speed, Memory, People Skills, Intelligence and Navigation. Thursday, October 6, 3-6:30pm Blood donation is a safe, simple procedure that takes about 45 minutes to one hour. An identification card or Donor ID is required to donate. Potential donors must be in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be at least 17 years old. Potential donors may be 16 years old and donate, but must present a signed parental consent form. Saturday & Sunday, October 22-23 The Friends of the O Fallon Public Library are hosting a sale of used books as part of their on-going efforts to fundraise for the library. Admission is free. There will be a large selection of gently used books, DVDs and audio book CDs available at unbeatable prices. Proceeds from the sale will be used to help the O Fallon Library with children s programming, purchasing of books and DVDs, and other projects that benefit the library. The title Fit for Your Future is a fervent reminder that God is not finished with us and our best is yet to come.
