User Guide for Wi-Fi Printing Service for Mobile Devices Please follow the steps below to install the App and configure your own device to connect to our MFP: Download and Set up the App How to send the print job to the designated MFPs (Using the Ricoh App) How to send the print job to the designated MFPs (Using other Apps) In order to setup and send print jobs, make sure your device is connected to one of these CUHK campus Wi-Fi networks (SSID: CUHK, CUHKa, CUguest, eduroam, Universities WiFi). For more details and configurations, please refer to http://www.lib.cuhk.edu.hk/use/facilities/wifi Please note the screen capture and functions may be varied for different devices, and the functions of the App may be changed due to version update from time to time. Download and Set up the App ios devices (ios version 7.0 or above) Android devices (verison 4.0 or above) 1. Download and install the App RICOH Smart Device Print&Scan From ios App Store (https://itunes.apple.com/hk/app/ricoh-smart-d evice-print-scan/id702774332?mt=8) From Android Play store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id= com.ricoh.smartprint) 1
2. After installation, launch the App and Select Settings from the App Home Screen 3. Select Devices 2
4. Select Search Devcs. 5. Key in the desired Host Nm./IP Addrs. (e.g. ul-gf-mfpg1.lib.cuhk.edu.hk for Wi-Fi printing/copier G1 on G/F UL) (A full list of available printers are listed at http://www.lib.cuhk.edu.hk/use/facilities/print-copy-scan/wifi#mobile) Then press Host Nm./IP Addrs. Search 3
6. Device result appears, select Add Device to add the MFP. 7. Back to the Settings page and Select Print Setting, The Print Setting would be default for all printers and print jobs 4
8. Change Job Type from Normal Print to Locked Print 9. Enter a User ID and Password that you like. Notes : Both User ID and Password can be set by the user. User ID can only made of a maximum of 8 alphanumeric characters (a-z, A-Z, 0-9). Password can only be made of 4-8 digit numbers (0-9). This User ID and Password will be used as default for sending print jobs to MFP. 5
(optional) You can also change the default settings for all printers such as Color/B&W, 2-sided, etc 10. You can now print anywhere after connected to one of these CUHK campus Wi-Fi networks (SSID: CUHK, CUHKa, CUguest, eduroam, Universities WiFi) Please make sure you have selected the correct MFP devices and print settings before sending the print job. 6
How to send the print job to the designated MFPs There are a number of ways to send the print job to the MFPs. Make sure you are connecting to the CUHK campus Wi-Fi network (SSID: CUHK, CUHKa, CUguest, eduroam, Universities WiFi). Following are examples using the Ricoh App to print photo and from cloud drive. Print Photo ios devices Android devices 1. At the Home Screen of the App, select Print Photograph, and then select photos you would like to print out. 7
2. Select photos you would like to print out from your album After selection click Apply and then press to proceed. After selection, press to proceed. 3. Preview the image and select Settings, to select MFP from the Device List. You can view more the Device Location by selecting from the Devices to the detailed view. 8

(Optional) Back to previous Settings page, you may change other settings including Color/B&W, 2-sided, etc. 4. Make sure you have selected the correct settings, before pressing Print to send the print job. 5. You can now retrieve your print job from the MFP by using your pre-assigned User ID and Password. 10
Print Document on Cloud You have to authenticate relevant service for Dropbox and Google Drive, before you can use the service. 1. Select Print Document on Cloud, and select Dropbox or Google Drive. A file list of your cloud drive will be shown Select the photo or documents you would like to print out from the list. ios devices Android devices 2. Preview the image and select Settings, to select MFP from the Device List. You can view more the Device Location by selecting from the Devices to the detailed view. 11

Print from other applications (e.g. Email) Open the file from the mail or other application, use the from the preview menu and select Open in Ricoh Print&Scan 1. Open the mail attachement or file from other Apps, if it is supported by the App, Ricoh Print & Scan will be prompted for selection: 2.
