Supplier Diversity Newsletter Collaboration that supports Innovation Welcome to the AT&T Supplier Diversity Newsletter. We are excited to share with all of our colleagues important information about our corporate Supplier Diversity program and highlight the work that many of you do every day to make our program a success. We would like to welcome our new associates from DIRECTV and we are looking forward to working with you to drive ever greater opportunities to engage diverse businesses. We understand that diverse businesses add value to our company through their perspectives and fresh ideas. By identifying and promoting diverse businesses, we re able to deliver world-class products and services that meet our customers needs. In This Issue Fall 2015 Issue 1 Welcome Quarterly Results Leadership Spotlight Supplier Profiles Recognition Calendar of Events Our team provides support to AT&T Supply Chain to identify, vet and refer diverse businesses (Minority, Women, Service Disabled Veteran and LGBT-owned) for AT&T direct contracts and to our prime contractors for subcontract opportunities. Our commitment to Supplier Diversity is real. We ve set one of the most aggressive supplier diversity goals in the industry to reach 21.5% of our total spend with certified diverse businesses. We achieved our goal in 2014 with a total spend of $16.5 billion, which represented 27.45% of our corporate spend. The corporate results for second quarter are below: AT&T 2nd Quarter Corporate Results AT&T Corporate Supplier Diversity Goal Supplier Diversity % of Total Spend Minority Owned Business (MBE): 15% 19.25% Women Owned Business (WBE): 5% 5.46% Service Disabled Owned Business: 1.5% 0.77% GOAL: 21.5% 25.48% We look forward to working with our leaders and associates to continue building upon this success. Business Unit Spotlight Cathy Martine - Dolecki President, AT&T Enterprise Business Solutions When we think about the term Supplier Diversity champion, the name Cathy Martine - Dolecki immediately comes to mind. Cathy and her team epitomize leadership and results when it comes to engaging diverse firms. Cathy s team has produced impressive results that exceed 40% diverse spend against the 21.5% goal. Most recently, the team has worked to engage more Service-Disabled Veteran-owned businesses in their supplier portfolio while encouraging larger primes to engage as well. Additionally, Cathy contributes her time to supporting events with organizations like the US Small Business Administration, the Women s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) and the Service Core of Retired Executives (SCORE). Supply Chain Spotlight Stephanie Pulliam AVP, Contract & Sourcing Operations Stephanie Pulliam is a tireless advocate for Supplier Diversity. Stephanie manages a team of contract and sourcing managers who direct contracting support for Human Resources, Executive & Legislative Affairs, Corporate Real Estate, Customer Care & Contact Centers, Advertising, Sponsorships, Print, Marketing and Research, Fleet, Finance, Credit & Collections, Travel, Flight Operations, Mail Services, Logistics and Professional Services & Consulting. For third quarter, Stephanie s team has produced diversity results of 21.35%. Part of the secret to their success is the consistency of engagement with the Supplier Diversity team with notifications of current opportunities and effective planning to prevent unexpected downturns. Stephanie and the team are also actively involved in outreach activities to meet certified diverse suppliers and will go the extra mile to conduct follow-up meetings. Stephanie and her team are prime examples of the benefit of strategic partnering and collaboration. We thank all of our business partners and colleagues at AT&T who work to increase business opportunities for diverse businesses by providing corporate support, leadership and innovative supply chain solutions. 2

Supplier Spotlight Our team understands the importance to deliver world class support to AT&T because we know it s not only important to them, but also to their customers. - Betty Manetta Argent Associates led by Beatriz Manetta, president and CEO is an award winning supply chain integrator managing $1.2 billion in customer telecom assets and inventories. Its family of companies provides a nexus of business ecosystems delivering simplicity to business processes and technology life cycle management. The nexus ecosystem covers Value Added Reselling, Supply Chain Logistics, Sustainable Reverse Logistics, Wireless Solutions and Technology Software Development. Argent Associates is industries one stop solution. Argent is a certified AT&T Solutions Provider, authorized to sell a full range of AT&T products and services. Argent Associates received the AT&T Outstanding Supplier Award in 2015 and 2011. Manetta was the recipient of the CEO Tech Titan Award and the USHCC Businesswoman of the Year Award in 2015. Argent is TL9000, ISO certified and has been recommended for ISO 14001:2004, OSHA 18001:2007 and R2:2013 certifications. The most important part of a business relationship is the relationship. - Bob Wingo Sanders\Wingo has built a national reputation for strategic insights and exceptional creative solutions. Led by chairman Robert Wingo, the El Paso, Texas based firm has created real-world multicultural messaging and marketing communications that effectively position AT&T products and services to a new generation of consumers. The award-winning agency has launched standout campaigns for AT&T Wireless and Home Solutions including 28 Days, AT&T s celebration of African-American innovators, past, present and future. For AT&T Multicultural Marketing, Advertising and Corporate Diversity initiatives, Sanders\Wingo continues to deliver business-building ideas, support and partnership. Operation Hand Salute We salute the 12, Service Disabled Veteran-owned businesses (SDVBEs) that were selected to participate in the 2015 class of Operation Hand Salute (OHS). OHS is a national education and mentoring program sponsored by AT&T Supplier Diversity to help SDVBEs improve business operations and be better positioned for business growth. The 7 month executive education courses are conducted by JFK University Institute of Entrepreneurial Leadership via AT&T Telepresence. The firms are scheduled to complete the program in November 2015 and will make final presentations to AT&T and experienced business leaders. 3

Supplier Outreach / Recognition Awards Our Supplier Diversity efforts motivate us every day to achieve success. When those efforts are recognized by our peers and diverse business organizations we are honored. We also recognize that we cannot do it alone-so thanks to the many associates in Supply Chain, and business units who work to achieve the AT&T Supplier Diversity goals. AT&T was pleased to serve as corporate co-host of the event and have Ralph de la Vega, president & CEO AT&T Mobile and Business Solutions as the dinner keynote speaker. Keith Connolly, vice president, Global Supply Chain participated on the panel Collaboration, Connectivity and Digitalization: a View from the Top. The BDR was created in 2001 to recognize and celebrate corporations that achieved spending of at least $1 billion with minority and woman-owned suppliers. To date, there are only 21 US corporations to achieve this milestone. The BDR promotes and shares best practices in supply chain diversity excellence. The members review common issues, opportunities and strategies to encourage corporations to continue growing their supplier diversity programs by increasing commitment and spending levels each year. AT&T is one of the founding members of the BDR and continues to serve in a leadership capacity. 4
