Dell built support for its 100 percent build-to-order capability, significantly improve its demand-planning and factory execution accuracy, reduce orderto-delivery time and enhance customer service. Now in place in Dell's plants around the world, the program paid for itself five times over during the first 12 months of operation. The city of New York launched an integrated calling system that allows residents to dial 311 anytime, day or night, to speak with a citizen service representative who can assist them with a wide range of service requests and information in 170 languages. 9
