The Multimodal Hub of Scandinavia Where major road, rail, air and sea transport routes meet and create dynamic opportunities for logistically intensive corporations. ision

Scandinavia s New Logistics Community for a World in Change A natural etablishment choice for progressive logistically-lntensive corporations Already today, logistics plays a vital role in the functioning of the international industrial community and has a significant impact upon the environment. This trend will intensify significantly during the coming decade. Logistical activities represent a considerable cost item for industry. Fast, punctual and cost-efficient logistics is a pre-requisite for companies wishing to operate competitively. Increasing globalisation places successively greater demands upon a company s logistical solutions. Transportation represents one of the major sources of environmental pollution and significantly contributes towards one of the greatest threats to our Planet namely; global warming. A consequence of this is an accelerating volume of legislation and rules regulating working practices and penalising carbon generating transport modes. Conversely, those companies which reduce their environmental footprint will be rewarded. During the coming decade we will witness an alarming reduction in the World s fossil fuel reserves and this will influence both availability and price. This will, in turn, have a distinct impact upon industry s priorities concerning their choice of operational locations and the transport solutions they deploy. Logistic Park Nässjö 2020 is being designed with these decisive conditions in mind and with the objective of providing leading edge transport solutions. In this connection, Nässjö Local Authority is increasingly investing in the education and training of the local workforce. Industry s demand for cost-effective, timesaving, environmentally friendly and reliable logistics will be secured through the Park s strategic location in the demographic heart of Scandinavia. Logistic Park Nässjö offers a direct connection to multimodal transport modes including the main railway line and is being developed as Scandinavia s leading multimodal logistic park. By 2020 the Park will be Scandinavia s leading multimodal Dry Port with direct, regular, punctual, secure and environmentallyfriendly rail and road connections with all of Scandinavia s leading harbours. A dynamic, synergy-enhancing logistical community: The Park is being developed as a new and dynamic logistical community comprising a diversified cluster of logisticallyintensive activities which draw nutrition from its unique qualities. Typical activities will be storage, distribution, cross-docking, industrial assembly and production. The Park offers ex- cellent opportunities for establishing regional and head quarter office facilities and will offer access to a wide variety of services and logistically-related education, training, research and development facilities. Nässjö A Pleasant and Open Community with Everything in Convenient Proximity The Jansson Family in front of their newly built home. We are both entrepreneurs and, subsequently, we both feel at home in Nässjös company-friendly climate. We built our house here and we have our country home not far away. Our children enjoy a secure environment in which to grow up with a pleasant school offering a high quality of education. We do not regret our move from Stockholm to Nässjö. 14 Nässjö is a harmonious and stimulating place to live. It has a long tradition of operating within the logistics sector and this ensures availability to a competent and loyal workforce. Good opportunities exist for successful personnel recruitment and for achieving a low personnel turnover.
