FotoPress Pro User Manual

FotoPress Pro allows you to completely change the way your WordPress site looks by adding 750+ fonts and font effects; a complete built-in image editor (with the possibility of searching for free images online that you can start using straight away), and an improved video player with 7 unique skins. INSTALLATION PROCESS This plugin is installed like any other Premium plugins. You should go to Plugins >> Add New and then choose Upload. The next step is to select the.zip file that you downloaded, and click on Install Now. 2

USING THE PLUGIN 1. FONTS With the font functionality of the plugin, you can: 1) Change the default fonts used by your theme (choose from over 650 Google fonts) 2) Add new fonts to be used in the standard WP editor 3) Use over 30 font effects to make your content stand out Getting started: The first thing you will need to do is to activate the fonts you'll want to use for your site (you can only use those fonts that you have previously activated). Make sure not to activate too many fonts, or your site's performance might get hurt (a safe number to have is from 2 to 4 active fonts). When you access the FotoPress Pro > Fonts menu, you'll find combinations of recommended fonts that you can start using straight away, or you can browse the complete list of Google Fonts. 3

Under the recommended fonts section, you have the following possibilities: Preview: get a quick look of what your site would look like with those fonts (doesn t make any changes yet) Enable: marks both fonts as active so that they can be used in the selectors above, or in the WP editor Set as default: enables those fonts and sets the headline title as standard for all <h1>, <h2> etc in your theme, plus the body text as standard for all <p> items in your theme. Under "All fonts", you will get a complete list of all 650+ Google fonts, that you can use in your site. For each Font, you can: Activate/Deactivate: Once you activate a Font, you will be able to use it in the standard WP editor, plus it will be visible in the dropdowns at the top of the page, to modify the theme standards. Preview: See a longer text to get a better idea of what the Font looks like Once you have at least one active font, at the top of the screen you have the possibility to change the default font used for the different elements of your theme (headers, body, lists...). You can, also, optionally, use one of the 20+ Google effects available with the plugin. 4

Font effects Here you will find two sets of effects: 1) Google Effects: need to be activated manually 2) FotoPress effects: are enabled by default, can be used in the WP editor straight away Google Fonts Effects can be also used to edit your theme styles. 5

Note: not all Google effects are available for all browsers; on the right you can find information about browser support. Once you have enabled some fonts and/or effects, you can use them in the WordPress standard editor. Under the Fonts dropdown you will find the standard fonts, plus those Google Fonts that you have enabled. Under Formats you will find all Font effects. You will also get Font sizes and Font foreground/background color selectors. 6

2. IMAGES Once you activate the plugin, your WordPress editor will have a new button at the top: "FotoPress", which will allow you to import images, and edit them from within WordPress. Once you click on it, the first screen will allow you to choose the source of the picture you would like to use. These are the different options: 7

1) Search free images: You can find copyright free images online, and import them with just one click. To do the search, you only need to enter the desired keyword, and click Search. You can refine the search with these options: Image type: Photo/Clipart Attribution needed or not (if attribution is needed, the plugin will handle it by adding the required text on the image caption) Sites to search: Select at least one Images can be modified: Check this box to get only images that allow editions Note: you will need to configure image settings for free sites under FotoPress >> Images. 2) Upload: You can upload a picture stored on your computer 3) WP Gallery: Use one of the images currently on the standard WordPress media library. 4) URL: If you know the current url of the image, you can import it with one click. Simply enter the url of the image and click Download Image. 5) Image Pack: Our Premium Image Pack with 3000+ Images ready to use in your site 6) Memes: The plugin comes with 24 of the most popular meme images that you can start using right away 8

7) Social networks: You can import images from your social networks accounts with just one click: Facebook Instagram Pinterest Flickr Google Drive Dropbox Note: For security reasons, you will need to configure the settings of each social network under the main menu FotoPress >> Images before you can import social images. 8) Background: You can create a background with the size and color of your choice. 9) Youzign: Import images directly from your youzign.com account Once you have picked the image you would like to work with, you have several options: Insert into the current post/page Download to your computer 9
