KASHMIR 6 NIGHTS/ 7 DAYS DAY 01: KOLKATA - DELHI - SRINAGAR Assemble at Kolkata domestic airport 2 hours prior to scheduled departure time to board flight to Srinagar via Delhi. On arrival, drive to Srinagar the summer capital of the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir and the largest city in the Kashmir region. Transfer to houseboat on Dal Lake. The shore line of the lake is about 15.5 kilometres and is encompassed by a boulevard lined with Mughal era gardens, parks, houseboats and hotels. In the evening enjoy a romantic "Shikara ride". Overnight houseboat. DAY 02: SRINAGAR - GULMARG (52 KMS/ 2 HRS) After breakfast proceed to Gulmarg also known as the 'Meadow of Flowers'. Gulmarg's legendary beauty, prime location and proximity to Srinagar make it one of the premier hill resorts in the country. Today Gulmarg is not merely a mountain resort of exceptional beauty- it also has the highest green golf course in the world, at an altitude of 2,650 m, and is the country's premier ski resort in the winter. Enjoy a fun-filled pony ride and gondola rides (at own cost). Overnight at Gulmarg. DAY 03: GULMARG - PAHALGAM (147 KMS/ 5 HRS) After breakfast drive to Pahalgam, the 'Valley of Shepherds'. On arrival, check into your hotel. There is something about the pure and re-vitalizing air of Pahalgam, perhaps the dense pine and cedar forests make it oxygen rich. Pahalgam is situated at an altitude of 2,133 metres amidst lofty deodars, fir, pine, junipers and many other conifers. Enjoy the breathtaking views. Overnight at Pahalgam. DAY 04: PAHALGAM After breakfast visit Aru Valley & Betaab Valley. Pahalgam is not a mere hill-station, it s like going into the lap of nature to do many things. You may want to have a romantic trip with your beloved, or a get together with your family and do those little interesting things with the kids, like a pony ride, picnic next to a beautiful river or just lie down under the sun with fresh breeze blowing and read a book, or play a game of cards. Go to the local market and have a cup of coffee and shop for some exquisite of Kashmiri handicraft. Overnight at Pahalgam.
DAY 05: PAHALGAM - SRINAGAR (97 KMS/ 4 HRS) After breakfast, drive to Srinagar. After lunch visit the temple of Shankaracharya, Hazrat Bal Shrine and the Mughal Gardens. Evening free for shopping. Overnight at Srinagar. DAY 06: SRINAGAR - SONMARG - SRINAGAR (82 KMS/ 4 HOURS ONE WAY) After breakfast full day sightseeing of Sonmarg ' Meadow of Gold. Sonmarg has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh river meanders along here and abounds with trout and mahseer. Ponies can be hired for the trip up to Thajiwas glacier ( extra cost), a major attraction. Return to Srinagar. Overnight at Hotel.
