Features include online calendar of events, a store with membership and books for sale, electronic chat groups, and a database of students and class information. 4 ASAP Software At the request of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories, Kensho designed this front end to a custom search tool to be integrated with the U.S. Business Advisor W 3 site. President Clinton and Vice President Al Gore demonstrated the final version of this tool at a nationally televised press conference in the summer of 1995. When ASAP needed an evaluation of its program portability and applicability to modern operating systems, Kensho responded with a prompt systems and code analysis which helped determine the future of this specialized database tool, whose users include Dun & Bradstreet and the Broadcast Fax Association. 1

First Virtual s revolutionary ideas for simple, standards based Internet commerce have been presented around the world using electronic presentations created by Kensho. According to First Virtual, one such presentation was delivered to an International Finance Conference with an audience of 130,000 net savvy bankers! This popular attraction of the BITMed Internet service received a major look and feel overhaul from Kensho. Applied principles of user interface design and aesthetics have enlivened the page. This successful aspect of the project was highlighted in the final report to the National Science Foundation. Kensho provides regular technical consulting and is currently building an intranet to solve the internal communications challenges for this multimedia business powerhouse headed by Philadelphia tycoon Beryl Wolk. 13 Human Resource Group Kensho has helped this contract employment firm locate suitable candidates from around the world, using resources freely available on the Internet. Additional consulting was provided for user policy, custom graphics, and security. 18 PrimeCare Kensho helped overhaul the user interface, graphics, instructional text, and frequently asked question documentation on this popular metasearch engine. Additional consulting was provided while commercial options for this highly regarded academic site were evaluated.
