KEY INDUSTRY TRENDS AND MARKETPLACE REALITIES
CONVENTIONS GIVING BACK TO SAN FRANCISCO Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at Moscone Center Last Fiscal Year (2014-2015), donation accounted for 10% of the overall diversion attained at Moscone Center, or more than 250,000 pounds of materials Since 1998, over four million pounds of goods and food have been donated by Moscone Center to approximately 50 local nonprofits Saleforce's corporate culture of giving 1-1-1 make them the untouchable leaders in this realm - one commendable highlight from Dreamforce 2015: Attendees assembled 3,500 Project Night-Night Kits, including stuffed animals, books, and blankets for children of homeless veterans Specialty Food's Winter Fancy Food Show had 125 volunteers collect nearly 50,000 pounds of exhibitor donated gourmet food to help people in need. Leftover large exhibit hall signs (foamcore or cardboard) and cloth banners went to Precita Eyes for local festivals of mural art - supporting our unique and very special art community Plexiglas and sintra from events are donated to Building Resources, San Francisco's nonprofit for reusable, recycled and remanufactured building and landscaping materials on an ongoing basis Food from events is regularly donated by Savor, last Fiscal Year, they donated the equivalent of 90,000 meals primarily to City Impact
