3 Useful information Dear guest, Welcome to Helsinki and the Nordic Baltic Apicultural Research Symposium 2016. From this booklet you will find useful information about your trip to Helsinki and the symposium. Please don t hesitate to ask more if you have any questions. Accommodation and the conference center: Hotel Arthur Vuorikatu 19 00100 Helsinki Phone: 0358 9 173441 email: reception@hotelarthur.fi Transportation from and to the airport: There are two direct trains from and to the Helsinki-Vantaa airport: P- and I- trains. Trains leave from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport and will take you directly to the main Railway Station (Rautatieasema) near the hotel (300 m). Please check from the map how the get to the hotel from the train station. You can also take a bus number 615 from and to the airport but it is slower than the train. Bus 615: Rautatientori railwaystation-airport. Train and bus cost 5,5 euros/person/single trip. 4 Welcome to meet us before the meeting: The Finnish Beekeepers Association s personnel is in the hotel Arthur lobby at Wednesday 27th January from 6.00 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. You are welcomed to meet us then! At Thursday 28th January you will also find us from the hotel Arthur from 9:30 a.m. You will get the abstract booklets and other material from us then. Program of the meeting Wednesday 27th January Meeting with the beekeeping advisors only from 2.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. in the hotel Arthur. Separate invitations has been sent beforehand. The advisors will talk about COLOSS, varroa situation, general issues etc. The meeting includes light lunch. After the meeting the advisors can attend dinner together. 7 Social event Thursday 28th January We will have a sightseeing with private tram on Thursday 28th January. We will starts the event at 6.00 p.m and we will meet at the hotel Arthur lobby. After sightseeing we will have dinner together in Perho Restaurant. If you don t want to attend the sightseeing, you can meet us at Perho Restaurant at 7.00 p.m. (Mechelininkatu 7). Election of Chairman and Secretary of the meeting Knud Graaskov was elected as chairman and Rune Havgaard Sørensen as secretary. 3. Election of adjuster for the minutes Marita Delvert from Sveriges Biodlares Riksförbund was elected as adjuster. 4. Adoption of the agenda The agenda was approved. 5. Approval of the minutes from last year s meeting The minutes from the meeting year 2014 was approved. 6. NBBC meeting place for 2016 Suomen Mehiläishoitajain Liitto announced the next meeting to be held in Finland from the 28th of January to the 29th of january 2016 in Finland, which was adopted by acclamation. 7. Election of new President of the Nordic Baltic Bee Council Janne Leimi was elected as the president for Nordic Baltic Bee Council the following year. 8. Miscellaneous The situation in the Lithaunia was discussed. A new president is elected, and they seems not to be interested in participating in Nordic Baltic Bee Council at the moment. 9.
