ABOUT LA BREA BAKERY The La Brea Bakery Story It was then that Nancy embarked upon the journey of teaching herself the ancient art of bread baking. When La Brea Bakery opened its doors in January of1989, no one knew that the small storefront would soon spark an artisan bread renaissance in southern California... and ultimately set the standard for the artisan bread across the nation. When chef Nancy Silverton and partners were planning to open their restaurant Campanile, they knew that if they wanted to serve the kind of hearth-baked bread that embodied the same level of quality reflected in the restaurant s menu, they would have to bake the bread themselves. Today, La Brea Bakery s artisan breads are sold at the finest grocery stores and restaurants in the country. And every one of the more than 300 varieties of La Brea Bakery s breads and rolls are made with the original starter Chef Nancy Silverton first created back in 1988, giving La Brea Bakery breads and rolls their distinctive flavor. La Brea Bakery opened its location at Pepperdine University in 2010, which was the first storefront on a college campus. La Brea Bakery has been well received from the Pepperdine community and remains to be one of the primer dining locations on campus. LA BREA BAKERY 4 NUTRITIONALS

We currently do not have all of the nutritional information available for every single item that we sell, but we are working vigilantly to provide our guests with this information. Please keep in mind that there are a few menu options that are unique to Pepperdine University: the Pepperdine Philly and the Southwestern Chicken Panini.
