How to Disable Common Pop-Up Blockers

Transcription:

A top banner bar giving the identity of the school. Image sliders showing off the different panoramic images of your school and school life. A drop down menu system that will help you navigate the website. A series of quick links buttons to help visit essential areas of the site. Live news areas that show recent information posted into the website.

Live News Feed Focus In the middle of the website page (as we ve just said) is the news feed area made up of a twitter feed, a recent posts feed and a blog directly underneath these is the project galleries area. The great functionality of this website is that one single post into the site, which appears in the Recent Posts feed and the blog feed, will also result in the post being sent out to any Web2 platforms of your choice whether that be Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ or Facebook etc. N.B. Your school might not have chosen to have any of these but so you need to check by looking at the Follow Us area - for more information on this look at the next page. There is a date/time stamp added to each blog posting to show you when it was added. The blog feed gives a little more information than the Recent Posts feed. You can read some of the information that is in the blog post and then click on the read more text to view the full post if you wish.

Also on the front page on are filterable project galleries showing the general happenings of school life across the curriculum. Another slider to show statements about school life. Local Offer and Awards links showing provision and attainment. Subscription to news feeds and social media of your choice. Online enquiry form.

High contrast text quick links footer area for anyone to easily browse the website. Website traffic stats for you to see website usage. Subscribe to a live web browser bookmark feed and you ll see all of our news as it is posted onto the website. Follow us on your social media platform.

When you click on any link to open a new website page this area on the front screen of the website will disappear and be replaced by the information you re looking for see next page for an example. If you want to view the coloured quick links, the news feeds, or the galleriesagain then you ll need to come back to the front page - which you can do by clicking on the Home link on the main menu.

Clicking on any link on the front of the website will take you to that particular page here we are looking at the staff page. The page is complemented by a Quick Links menu that will take the viewer to areas of the website that are popular with parents and Ofsted as well as a link going back to the home page. Another Home Page link can be found in blue text at the bottom of each website page. The rest of the website towards the bottom is nearly the same as the front page.

Here s a closer look at the newsletters page. Clicking on any links will open up the information in a new tab or popup window.

This is how the newsletter appears in the popup window with page numbers and zoom in options. Parents can also download the newsletter to print it off and read a paper version this is an Ofsted requirement.

Where there are links to other external websites these are normally represented by a graphic with a page turned up end. These will also open up in a popup window or new browser tab.

The project gallery area shows the latest 4 projects to be added to the site. You can filter these projects by clicking on the names of the current project categories, which can be added to over time. Clicking on a project gallery area will take you to that particular project. Or you can browse all of the galleries that have been added to the website by clicking on the numbered links, each showing a set of 4 project galleries.

The page that appears shows the first image in the gallery. If you click on an image whilst in screen view it will open up the gallery in a larger form. You can use the arrow links to browse through the gallery or just click on the main image in the centre to go to the next slide. When you want to close the gallery click on the X at the top right corner of the opened image. We hope you enjoy our website and don t forget to follow us using the Web 2 platform of your choice.
