3 PreLogin When you visit the Avaya Learning Centre, this is the first screen you will see. You will find helpful information here even before you log in. Getting a Logon ID and Password Logging In General Avaya U Information End-User Training You ll find helpful, general information about, training locations, certification and more. If you re a new user, click the Register Now button to get an ID and password. Log in here to access the rest of the Avaya Learning Centre. Click here for complimentary End-User courses in Modular Messaging and IP Office. Page 3
4 Homepage The Avaya Learning Centre Homepage is the gateway to everything you need to know about Avaya University. From this page you ll be able to find curriculum, certification and other important information. Learning Programs Available Sessions by Region News & Information My Favorites Quick links Edit Profile My Transcript Self Help Search The Avaya Learning Navigator will help you find all the information related to a specific Avaya Product, Solution, or Role. Find out more about this tool in the next section. The Available Sessions by Region section will allow you to see all the upcoming courses at a training center near you. The new Searching feature will return results to you based on course codes, course titles and course descriptions. The Spotlight Story and Learning Highlights contain important information you ll want to know about. We have included some quick links here we think you ll find helpful. The My Favorites section allows you to bookmark pages you frequently visit on the Learning Centre to save you time. Simply click the Add to My Favorites link found at the top of each page. Click here from any page to quickly access the Avaya Learning Navigator. Quickly view all the courses, exams and more that you have enrolled in or completed, plus any certifications you may have earned. This Guide is part of the Self-Help section to help you easily navigator your way through this website. The Helpdesk will be happy to help answer any questions you may have. Page 4
5 Navigation The top navigation bar in the Learning Center has been redesigned to help you easily locate the area you need. 6 The Avaya Learning Navigator The Avaya Learning Navigator is a new tool designed to help you find important information, curriculum, certification and more by searching for Solutions and Products or Role Training. STEP 1: Click on the Avaya Learning Navigator button on the Homepage, or you may access the Learning Navigator from the Learning Programs menu in the top navigation bar or the icon at the bottom of each screen. STEP 2a: Once you have accessed the Learning Navigator, you may choose to search for curriculum, certification and other information. Simply click on the radio buttons to search by Solution and Product Training. Page 6
7 The Avaya Learning Navigator Continued STEP 2b: Once you have accessed the Learning Navigator, you may choose to search for curriculum, certification, PA and other information. Simply click on the radio buttons to search by Role Training. Page 7
8 The Avaya Learning Navigator Continued STEP 3: Once you have selected a training area, click on one of the training options in the list to see everything associated with it. We have chosen Modular Messaging for this example. Any Learning Highlights related to the training you have chosen will appear here. Be sure to check these each time you visit the Learning Centre, as they contain important, time sensitive information you will want to know about. You will then see any curriculum maps, certifications and other information related to the training you have chosen. Limit the results you see by selecting to see only the information related to a particular track: Design, Implement, Maintain or Administration. STEP 4: Click on a specific curriculum map, certification or pa for additional details. We have chosen the ACA Design: Modular Messaging for this example. Click the Prepare Me button for a complete listing of curriculum that will prepare you to pass the required exams and assessments. You may navigate to a curriculum map either directly from the Curriculum section of the Learning Navigator as shown here, or through the Prepare Me button on the Certification page as shown to the left. 9 Searching Capabilities The search option at the top of each page as has been enhanced. Now when you do a search for a course, the search will look though all course codes, titles and descriptions in order to generate your results. STEP 1: Type either a course code, name or keyword into the search box and click Go. Click here if you would like to see how the course you re interested in relates to curriculum and certification. This link will return you to the Avaya Learning Navigator. You may choose to filter the results even further. STEP 2: The search engine will return results to you where your term appears in the course code, course name or course description. Page 9
10 Avaya Professional Certification Professional Certification leads to global consistency for Customers and allows Avaya and BusinessPartners to exceed Customer expectations with high degrees of technical proficiency. STEP 1: You may access the Avaya Professional Certification Program either through the Avaya Learning Navigator or through the Professional Certification link under the Learning Programs menu in the top navigation bar. The layout of the Certification web pages has not changed with this release of the Learning Centre. You will continue to choose either: ACA, ACS or ACE. Then you ll choose a discipline: Design, Implement, Maintain VSM or CCM This area contains helpful certification resources such as policies, news, FAQ s and exam registration. This area also allows you to download logos of the certifications you ve earned, or print your own certificates. Open these documents for helpful Program Guides which will give you detailed information on each discipline. STEP 2: From the Certification Homepage, you will need to choose the level and discipline in which you are interested. We have chosen ACA Implement for this exam. Move between ACA, ACS and ACE, by using these tabs. STEP 3: Then you will chose the Solution Area in which you would like to become certified. We will choose IP Telephony for this example. Page 10
11 Avaya Professional Certification Continued STEP 3: Now you are viewing the credential status page. Here you will find the requirements for this particular certification, as well as what you should do to prepare for the exams and assessments. Click the Prepare Me button for a complete listing of curriculum that will prepare you to pass the required exams and assessments. Page 11
