VENUE ABOUT NANCY Nancy is famous around the world for its group of architectural masterpieces inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List (Place Stanislas, Place de la Carrière and Place d Alliance) and for the artistic movement Art Nouveau that flourished in Nancy (School of Nancy) and across Europe from the late 19th century. There is also in Nancy a tradition of research and training in Wood Sciences, in Agronomy and in Engineering Sciences. WHERE IS NANCY? Nancy is one of the principal cities in the Lorraine region, in the North East of France. The city is easily reached from Paris (TGV, 90min), from Luxembourg (Regional Train, 60min), from Strasbourg (regional Train, 60 min), and from Basel (120 min), which gives access to several international airports. DIRECTIONS: COMING TO NANCY By plane Charles De Gaulle (CDG) International Airport, Paris 330 km to the west of Nancy By car: access by the A4 motorway or N4 By train: Option 1 : Take a TGV train from Aéroport CGD TGV station (at the airport, in terminal 2) to Lorraine TGV station (Louvigny) Then continue with a bus shuttle to Nancy Centre (railway station) for 10 /trip if not included in your train ticket(timetable on the TER website: http://telechargement.tersncf.com/images/lorraine/tridion/navettes_nancy_ _Lorraine_TGV_tcm 24 74633.pdf). N.B: for this option, the TGV Air permits to buy TGV tickets for your connection together with your plane tickets (available only for partnership members). With that service you just have to exchange your flight coupon against a TGV ticket at the TGV Air counter on the day you are travelling, at least 20 minutes before the departure of your train. Option 2: Take first a Suburban train (RER B) from CDG airport to Gare du Nord/Paris Continue with the subway (line 4 or 5) from Gare du Nord/Paris to Gare de l'est/paris or by foot (5 to 10 min) Finally, take a TGV train from Gare de l'est/paris to Nancy Centre (railway station) Flights from most international capital cities. 2
