DISCUSSION POINTS (for those not at the meeting this is a summary of questions and discussions that came up both during and after the meeting) Passport apply ASAP at local post office or Whitman Town Hall; if passport expires less than 6 months after the trip, get a new one prior to the trip. ATM/Debit card strongly encouraged as best way to access money while abroad; be sure to talk with your bank prior to leaving and let them know your itinerary so that your card works overseas. It came up that new ATM/Debit cards will have a chip instead of a magnetic strip to swipe. Old cards without a chip will not work in Europe. Please contact your bank to ensure your card will work overseas. Luggage/clothing specific limitations to be determined by airlines; 50 lb maximum for checked baggage ONE checked bag ONLY. Think April in Boston, dress in layers. Spending Money students are responsible for lunch every day plus gifts and incidentals Cell Phones - check with your carrier to determine cost/viability
