Dell P Series Monitor VESA Mounting Bracket Installation Instructions The VESA mounting bracket enables a Wyse cloud client to be mounted to the Dell P Series Monitor and the Dell E24 Monitor. The cloud client attaches to the bracket, which attaches to the monitor, and then cables are connected. A #1 Phillips-head screwdriver is required. Note: The mounting bracket can be used with the monitor in either landscape or portrait orientation. Before you install the cloud client, determine your preferred display orientation. Included in the Kit Parts provided in the kit include a monitor VESA mounting bracket, power adaptor holder, stopper, (1) M2.5 screw, and (4) M4 screws. Note for P25 and T class: You need to purchase separately (or have received with your cloud client) the cloud client horizontal stand/vesa bracket with the hex holes. For P25 horizontal mount, use PN 830299-02L. For T class horizontal mount, use PN 830296-02L. Wyse Cloud Clients Using this Bracket Wyse models D class, P25, and T class may use the Dell E24 / P Series Monitor VESA Mounting Bracket. (Shown below are D and T class on monitors operating in portrait and landscape orientations.) Caution: Mount the cloud client only as shown. Improper placement (where the back panel or front panel is facing down) could restrict the airflow of heat from the device and damage it. For portrait orientation, ensure that the cloud client power button always faces right.
2 What Goes Where on the P Bracket Mounting the D Class Use the following instructions to mount the D class cloud client to the Dell P Series Monitor VESA Mounting Bracket. 1. Preparing the Cloud Client - Remove the cloud client from its horizontal or vertical stand. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove the four (4) filler screws from the side of the cloud client and discard them. 2. Attaching the Cloud Client - Select your preferred display orientation, see note below. Install the cloud client on the bracket (the side with the release button). The cloud client shown below has been installed for landscape orientation. Use the provided four (4) M4 screws to attach it to the bracket. For D class, use the VESA hole set starting with the outer edge screws holes. Note: When installing for a monitor in landscape orientation, the cloud client power button should be facing to the right. When installing for a monitor in portrait orientation, the power button should be facing down (after rotation, the power button will be facing to the right). Caution: Do not enclose the cloud client in a confined environment without proper ventilation.
3 3. Attaching the Power Adaptor Holder - Install the power adaptor holder on the bracket (the side with the release button). Slide the small hooks downward into the vertical slotted holes and the large hooks onto the top edge of the bracket. Use the M2.5 screw provided to secure the holder on the bracket where indicated. 4. Attaching Bracket to the Monitor - Place the monitor on a padded surface with the display facing down. Remove the stand from the monitor by pushing the monitor s quick release button. Remove the four (4) VESA screws from the back of the monitor and set them aside. Position the bracket's central section on the back of the monitor. Slide the bracket s top tabs into the dedicated tab slots, and then firmly push down bottom end of bracket until it snaps in place. For additional security, re-install the monitor VESA screws that you had set aside (do not over-tighten). Note: If you need to remove the bracket, remove monitor screws and then press the lower quick release button on the monitor, not the upper release button on the bracket. 5. Re-installing the Monitor Stand - Insert the upper stand tabs into the dedicated space on the metal bracket and press down until the quick release button latches in. Place the monitor in the upright standing position.
4 6. Adjusting and Securing Monitor Height - Attach stopper, making sure that the stopper tab is facing up on the front side of the stand, and then snap the stopper ends together. Rotate the monitor if the bracket was installed for portrait. Raise the monitor to the height you want. Note: If using an E2414 Monitor, the P series mounting bracket must be used without the stopper. 7. Finishing - Make all desired connections, and then connect the power adapter s AC power cable to an electrical outlet. Mounting the Wyse P25 and T Class Use the following instructions to mount the P25 or T class cloud client to the Dell P Series Monitor VESA Mounting Bracket. 1. Preparing the Cloud Client and VESA Bracket - Remove the cloud client from its horizontal stand/vesa bracket (plastic bracket). On the inside of the plastic bracket, slip one of the four (4) provided nuts into a screw hex hole. Important: You need to have the plastic bracket with the hex holes. For P25 horizontal mount, use PN 830299-02L. For T class horizontal mount, use PN 830296-02L. Tip: Use your finger to slide the nut across the plastic bracket surface so that it easily slips into the recessed cutout.
5 2. Attaching the Cloud Client VESA Bracket - Select your preferred display orientation, see note below. The plastic bracket shown below has been installed for landscape orientation (for portrait orientation, the plastic bracket must be rotated to the right before attaching). Align the screw holes on the plastic bracket (containing the four nuts) with the corresponding holes on cloud client side of the metal bracket (the side with the release button) in your preferred display orientation. For P and T classes, use the VESA hole set starting with the inner edge screw holes. Using a Phillips-head screwdriver attach the provided four (4) M4 screws through the metal bracket, then through the plastic bracket and into the nut (do not over-tighten). Note: When installing for a monitor in landscape orientation, the cloud client power button should be facing to the right. When installing for a monitor in portrait orientation, the plastic bracket must be attached facing down so that when rotated, the cloud client power button will also be facing to the right. Caution: Do not enclose the cloud client in a confined environment without proper ventilation. 3. Installing the Cloud Client for Landscape Orientation - The P and T cloud clients may now be inserted into the plastic bracket for landscape orientation. Tip: For portrait orientation, it is best to install the cloud client as the last step. 4. Attaching the Power Adaptor Holder - Install the power adaptor holder on the bracket (the side with the release button). Slide the small hooks downward into the vertical slotted holes and the large hooks onto the top edge of the bracket. Use the M2.5 screw provided to secure the holder on the bracket.
5. Attaching Bracket to the Monitor - Place the monitor on a padded surface with the display facing down. Remove the stand from the monitor by pushing the quick release button. 6. Re-installing the Monitor Stand - Insert the upper stand tabs into dedicated space on the metal bracket and press down until the quick release button latches in. Place the monitor in the upright standing position. 7. Adjusting and Securing Monitor Height - Attach stopper, making sure that the stopper tab is facing up on the front side of the stand, and then snap the stopper ends together. Rotate the monitor if the bracket is to be installed for portrait. Raise the monitor to the height you want. Note: If using an E2414 Monitor, the P series mounting bracket must be used without the stopper. 8. Installing the Cloud Client for Portrait Orientation - The P and T cloud clients may now be inserted into the plastic bracket for portrait orientation. Make sure that the power button faces towards the top right. 9. Finishing- Make all desired connections, and then connect the power adapter s AC power cable to an electrical outlet. 883964-01 Rev.
