Install and Log in to Workday From your ipad: 1. Tap the App Store Application icon. 2. Tap Search and enter Workday. 3. Select Workday for ipad from the search results. 4. Tap Free to install the app. Once the app has downloaded, the button name changes to Open. 5. Tap Open. 6. The first time you use the Workday for ipad app, you will need to enter your company s settings. Your company may provide a link to launch the app that automatically configures the settings. However, if you do not receive a link, you will need to complete the following steps to manually enter your company s information. 7. Tap the Gear icon to display the Settings window. 8. Tenant: enter hyperiongrp. This is our unique instance of Workday. 9. Web address: if required, enter https://wd3.myworkday.com 10. Tap Save. The Login window displays. 11. Navigate Workday for ipad You can swipe left to right to scroll through available worklets. Tap any icon to open its corresponding worklet. Use the Menu to navigate: 1. Tap the Menu icon to open the menu. 2. Select the menu item you are interested in. 3. Tap the Back Arrow to return to the Home page. Your Inbox The Inbox is your personal activity stream. Your Inbox includes Actions and Notifications, such as: Approvals, To Dos, and status notifications, etc. that are sent to you by your organization s business processes. From the Inbox worklet: 1. Tap the Actions or Notifications tab to access the corresponding information. 2. Select an item to view more details. Workday drive (W: drive) The Workday drive (W: drive) is a virtual drive where you can store your scheduled and shared reports and access them from your iphone and ipad. 2. Tap W: drive. 3. Tap More Reports and filter your search by Business Object or Report Tags or specify the number of days created. Your screens and processes may vary from those described here. 2
Navigate the Directory The Directory helps you identify where you and others fit into the overall structure of the organization. It displays your position within the department, as well as those of your teammates. Within the Directory, you can navigate the structure of your department and company by clicking on individuals up or down through the Directory. 2. Select the search result that matches your search. The individuals profile details and contact information display. 3. Tap Experience to see information about an individual s skills, experience and education. You can continue to tap across the other profile categories to review Job details, Personal Notes, and Anytime Feedback for this individual. 4. Tap the Related Actions icon to see additional actions you can perform from this screen. Update Your Profile Photo From the My Profile worklet: 1. Tap the Picture box next to your name. 2. Select Camera to take a new photo. (Optionally, you can select Choose from Library to use an existing photo from you ipad). 3. Take the photo. 4. Tap Use Photo when you re satisfied with the image you ve captured. A submission screen confirms that your photo has been sent for approval. From the Directory worklet: 1. Tap a circle or level in the hierarchy to see how groups and individuals are connected within the organization. 2. Tap an individual s image to view their Profile page. 3. Tap the Back Arrow to return to the Directory. Search for Employees by Name in Workday 1. Enter the name of the employee you want to find in the Search field. Search results display. Change your Contact Information 1. Tap your profile photo to open your worker Profile page. 2. Tap the Related Actions icon. 3. Tap Personal. The personal menu displays. 4. Select Change Contact Information. The Change Contact Information window displays. 5. Tap the Edit icon next to the information you want to change and make your edits. 6. Request Time Off The Time Off worklet displays your time off balances and time off details. You can also use it to request time off. Add Personal Notes Use Personal Notes to store information about an individual that is important to remember. Only you, the person creating the note, will be able to see the Personal Note. From an individual s Profile page: 1. Tap the Personal Notes tab. 2. Tap the Plus icon. The Note screen displays. 3. Type your note. 4. Tap Done. Managing Notebooks Notebooks provide users an easy way to group worker profiles and reports for quick reference. You can have up to 10 active notebooks. Create a Notebook within a report or worker profile: 1. Tap the Ribbon button. 2. Tap Create to add this item to a new Notebook. Or, select a Notebook from the list to add to an existing Notebook. 3. Enter a name for your Untitled Notebook. The Notebook name appears in the list of Notebooks with a checkmark confirming that this report or worker profile is included in this notebook. Remove an item from a Notebook: 1. Tap the Ribbon button. 2. Tap the Checkmark to deselect the item from a Notebook or multiple Notebooks. Share a Notebook from the Notebooks worklet: From the Notebook worklet: 1. Tap the Share icon under a Notebook. 2. Tap the Share With field to select the individuals you want to share your notebook with. 3. Tap Search to search for a specific individual s name, or browse the lists below. Individuals will need to have the appropriate security permissions to access the content in the shared notebook. 4. Tap the Checkmark next to the individual s name. 5. Tap Done. Change Your Password 2. Tap Settings. 3. Tap Change Password. 4. Enter your Current and New Password. 5. Verify your New Password. 6. Tap Done to apply the change. A confirmation displays. 7. Tap Close. Reviewing Dashboards for Managers 2. Tap Dashboards. From here, you can access all of the reports you do from the Workday desktop application. My Team for Managers 1. Tap the My Team icon. Your direct reports display. 2. Tap a direct report to display their Profile. 3. Tap the Related Actions icon to access any of the following: 4.
