Installing Superlock on Windows 7 64-bit The current Superlock is not directly supported by Win 7, 64 bit. So to make it run on this OS, you can install a Virtual PC with XP Mode from Microsoft. In this document you will find the information on how to download and install it. Downloading site for the XP Mode program / updates This program (and updates) can be downloaded from Microsoft s web site: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx Choose your Windows edition and language First you must select the correct Win 7 edition you have and the language that it uses. Fig. 1 When you have chosen your Windows version and language, you go to Version 1.0 1
Step 2: Download XP Mode When you click on the download button a Windows validation is performed. This will check that you are running an original Windows version. You may need click on the download button in step 2, two times before the download starts, depending on the update state of your Windows installation. When the check is done you get the message shown below. Then the download starts, it is approx. 500 MB so it may take some minutes. Fig. 2 Version 1.0 2
Installation of XP Mode After the download is completed, run this downloaded installation. You will be asked the usual security check and where to install the XP Mode during the installation process (Fig. 3-7). NB! When you almost get to the end of the installation process there is a check mark with the text Launch Windows XP Mode, make sure that this check box is unchecked before you click on Finish (See fig. 7) Fig. 3 Fig. 4 Version 1.0 3

Installing Superlock Now, install the Superlock program itself, as you normally would. For this instruction we assume that you have installed the program in the default folder, C:\SLWIN. Attaching the Hardlock When you start the virtual PC the USB port is not yet connected to it. To resolve this make sure the dongle is inserted in the USB port. Go to the top menu in the virtual screen, click on USB menu, and then click on the Hardlock USB 1.01 Attach menu item, to add the Hardlock to the virtual machine (Fig. 24). Shortly hereafter the Hardlock is detected (Fig. 25). NB. Every time you start up the virtual machine to run the Superlock, you must remember to first the Hardlock USB 1.01 Attach menu item, if not, the Superlock can t find it and you get the message The Hardlock is not present or it does not work. The program cannot start. (Fig 26). Fig. 24 Fig. 25 Fig. 26 Version 1.0 11
And now.run the SLWIN Now you should be able to run the Superlock. Go into the C:\SLWIN folder and click on SLWin.exe to run the Superlock in this virtual machine. That s it.
