Capital Improvements Program The City is also undertaking an aggressive capital improvements program. In FY14, the City invested approximately $8.3 million in capital improvements, and the City s FY2015 Capital Improvement Plan includes $36.6 million in improvements.
ALDI Distribution Center / Regional Headquarters Construction currently underway on 650,000 square foot distribution center on US 90A, west of Rude Road.
Paragon Outlets Construction scheduled to begin in Summer of 2015 on 63.5-acre, 385,000 square foot Outlet Mall.
Rosenberg Business Park Utilities expected to be complete by summer of 2015 on 184-acre, deed-restricted business park at FM 2218 and I-69. The project is being developed by Fuller Realty.
Walsh Road Industrial Park Sites to be delivered in winter of 2015 on 24-acre deed-restricted industrial park between Spur 529 and I-69. The project is being developed by ICO Commercial.
Superior Tank Expansion The expansion project represents an approximately $4.7 million investment in the Rosenberg economy, and includes extending the existing 8,000 square foot facility to 54,000 square feet on 6.49 acres. It will facilitate the relocation of the company s manufacturing components to Rosenberg, resulting in an increase in employment from 18 to 100 over a five-year period.

Rosenberg Intermodal Kansas City Southern (KCS) and Center-Point Properties moving ahead Rehabilitation of the KSC rail line from Victoria to Rosenberg is completed and operational. The 880 acre site, located in Rosenberg s extra-territorial jurisdiction in Fort Bend County, is designated as Foreign Trade Zone No. 149. Historic Downtown Rosenberg In 2014, the Texas Historical Commission designated Historic Downtown Rosenberg as a Texas Main Street City The mission of the Texas Main Street Program is to provide technical expertise, education, resources and support to designated Main Street communities. Utilizing our individual and collective skills, we shall guide our designated programs in effectively preserving and revitalizing their historic downtowns and commercial neighborhood districts in accord with the National Main Street Four Point Approach of organization, design, economic restructuring and promotion.
Brazos Town Center I & II Expansion continues The 550-acre master planned Brazos Town Center, a NewQuest Properties mixed-use development, continues to develop the 180 acres of retail with new big box retail on the south side of U.S. Highway 59 S. Established big box retailers include Academy Sports and Outdoors, Conn s Appliances, Best Buy, Target and J.C. Penney s, among others. New retail offerings in 2014 included Home Goods and Mattress One. Brazos Town Center also includes a wide selection of dining venues, including Gringos, Texas Roadhouse, and Cracker Barrel. Pizza Hut opened in early 2015, and BreWingZ is currently under construction. Royal Urgent Care opened in 2014, and First Choice Emergency Room is currently under construction.
