1. Data Governance Impact of Industrial Internet: Vast networks of industry-specific data collection sensors and tools flood of new data Generating actionable insights with Big Data analytics real-time Integrating legacy data from PDM/PLM, ERP, CRM, SCM, Organizations are already data rich, information poor Services build on intelligent use of data Research Need & Issues: DG becoming more complicated Digital asset management Data Ownership Master Data Management Metadata management Data Quality & Lifecycle Mgmt. Data Protection & Security; privacy, trust, compliance, Network & ecosystem governance Legal & IPR considerations New Business Models New Services Product Improvement Predictive Maintenance Process Control Data

2. Smart Maintenance Smart Maintenance is a focused, application driven research project integrating key concepts from industrial maintenance engineering, operations management, information systems, and data analytics It aims to improve the quality and efficiency of industrial maintenance by implementing smart ICT-enabled capabilities that: Utilize real-time monitoring of the performance and operations (realtime) Turn operative data into predictive maintenance actions (predictive) Manage distributed operations via information operations center (remote operations) Cut waste and increase throughput (automation) MACHINE DATA MANUAL DATA

3. Smart Factory The project envisions future smart factories built on top of the cyber-physical systems approach to design and validate automation systems, the Internet of things and novel Internet-enabled services maximizing flexibility and productivity, minimizing resource consumption, and cutting time needed to configure the system for producing different products in the most efficient way. The initiative will use and advance further enabling ICT Technologies to address production control and optimization challenges. This will make the future factories and production lines smarter, more efficient, and more reliable.

4. Smart Design Master data management is required for Industrial Internet business models Common data including metadata across the whole business Physical entity is only part of the customer value, half of the product is in the cloud From PDM to PLM BOM as planned, as designed, as manufactured, as delivered, as operated, as maintained, as upgraded...
