Aalto University - Where Science and Art meet Technology and Business
Art, Business, Science and Technology School of Economics Arts, Design and Architecture Engineering Chemical Technology Science Electrical Engineering
Engineering Sciences Technology has a strong link to mathematics and the natural sciences, especially physics and chemistry. Technical applications have contributed to strengthening and expanding the scientific foundation of technology. Fields of engineering science closely related to mechanical engineering and structural engineering include dynamics, fluid mechanics, strength of materials, thermodynamics and materials science. By making use of these fields of science, it is possible to design and manufacture new artefacts or develop existing ones in order to make them more competitive. In engineering sciences, the importance of a systemic approach, design skills and project competence must be taken into consideration. Tenure track at Aalto University
