They participated actively in the construction of the new capital of Brazil, Brasilia. Under engineer Carlos Fernando Carvalho s command, the companys innovative achievements over its first two decades turned it into one of the most prestigious companies in the country after building more than 10 million square meters of residential and business developments. With his visionary character, Carvalho Hosken s C.E.O acquired significant land in Barra da Tijuca in the 1970s, predicting that Rio de Janeiro would expand in this area of the city. From that moment on, Carvalho Hosken developed audacious residential and commercial developments in vast tracts of land in the Barra da Tijuca region.
