GENERAL DESCRIPTION IP Alarm is a new burglar alarm system controlled by your smart phone or tablet via the internet. The IP Alarm Cloud drives the system, which provide you with information about who enters your house, which sensor has been triggered etc. Notifications aredistributed to friends and neighbors, ether by PUSH or email.power and internet connections are surveyed online. Should one interrupt the power or the internet, the system will notify you within seconds. The app can monitor and control the system from anywhere as long as your phone or tabletis connected to the internet. [GPRS; 3G; Wi-Fi etc.]. The central unit of the system is the IP Alarm Scanner. Do not expect a lot of buttons and displays. All control is done by the app. Easy and convenient - always in the palm of your hand! INSTALLATION The system is a DIY [Do it yourself] system with a minimum of setup. Just download and install the IP Alarm app from Google Play or Apple App Store. Make sure the system is powered up and connected to the internet. Check that your mobile device is connected to the internet. Enter the alarm ID and password in the app and follow the guides. Please, study the help sections for further details and learn more about the individual components in this introduction.

DOOR/WINDOW SENSOR D E S C R I P T I O N T H E L E D DI O DE IP Alarm s door/window sensor is an intelligent switch, which you attach to the doors and windows or other places in your home where you want control or an alarm in the event of a break-in. The sensor is fitted with a discreet diode, which glows when the switch is communicating with the IP Alarm system. F I T T I N G Avoid drilling holes in your doors and windows. Both parts of the sensor should be appliedwith a little piece of special tape, which is included in the package. B A T T E R Y L I F E T I ME The intelligent part of the sensor is fitted with a small battery, which you can change easily. No tools needed. Just press the little tab on the side of the plastic hood, and open the housing. After the battery is changed, the parts clicks together easily and you are ready for another 1-2 years of running time. IP Alarm will notify when the batteries need changing. R A N G E S P E C I F I C A T I O N S The range of IP Alarm s door/window sensor is ca. 300m in open country, but that number is not practically applicable. Depending on the walls, materials, etc., the range will vary. To improve the signal, you can try either moving the sensor or perhaps moving the scanner. If neither of these options has any effect, you can extend the range by installing an IP Alarm signal extender. 1. Go to the Device menu. Press + to add Device 3. Pick the Door sensor illustrated and press Enroll (see the video). 4. Activate the device twice to enroll the device to alarm host. TIP! Rename the device to organize all devices and their positions. **** GASDETECTOR D E S C R I P T I O N IP Alarm s gas detector is an electrochemical sensor, which sounds the alarm if your gas boiler or stove is leaky. The unit is in direct contact with IP Alarm and can therefore be seen online. The sensor reacts to LPG as well as natural gas (LNG). In this way, you can keep an eye on your gas boiler and stove if you use gas for cooking or heating purposes. F I T T I N G It is vital that IP Alarm s gas detector is correctly installed. According to which type of gas you wish to be able to detect, the unit must be installed thereafter. The various types of gas are best detected either at floor or ceiling level - depending on which type you wish to detect. LNG (Natural gas) LNG or liquefied natural gas is the liquid form of what we normally call natural gas. It belongs among the gas types, which are lighter than air and therefore seek upwards. If you want your gas detector to warn you of leakages of this type of gas, you must place it roughly 30cm from the ceiling. (See the illustration to your right). LPG (Bottled gas) LPG or liquefied petroleum gas can be bought bottled or delivered at petrol stations.

LPG is heavier than airand seeks downwards in the event of a leakage. The best place to Installyour IP Alarm s Gas detector to detect this gastype would be ca 30cm from the floor. (See the illustration to your right). S I R E N In the event of a gas leak, the gas detector siren will sound off a full, unabridged alarm. Should this occur, please take the following precautions: Turn off the main valve for the gas appliance and turn off all combustion sources such as open fires, wood-burning stoves, and gas stoves. Open all windows and doors and evacuate the house immediately! Should anyone experience side effects because of gas poisoningsuch as headaches, dizziness, nausea, or other influenza-like symptoms, seek medical assistance urgently. Do not reenter the building until the problem has been corrected and the gas is gone. Call a qualified technician to inspect and repair the issue before you restart the gasappliances. T E S T Test the function of your gas detector by holding a lighter close to the unit. Open for the gas of the lighter for ca 3-8 seconds without igniting the flame. The siren will be activated both by the unit, the IP Alarm Scanner, and the other sirens of the system. When the gas detectoris activated, your IP Alarm system will set off thealarm when the scanner receives the radio signal. You can stop the alarm by disarming your IP alarm via the remote control or on your mobile phone. R A N G E The range of the gas detector is ca 100 m in open country. Of course, that number is not practically applicable, as the range vary according to how many walls there are in the house and the materials of them. To improve the signal, you can try either moving the sensor or perhaps moving the scanner. If neither of these options has any effect, you can extend the range by installing an IP Alarm signal extender. S P E C I F I C A T I O N S Gas concentration in the event of an alarm: o LNG:0,1~0,5% o LPG:0,05~0,3% Power usage: Max 2W Size: 70x40x115 mm

Rename the device to organize all devices and their positions.. IP Alarm sgas detector uses an electrochemical sensor to detect the gas. The life span of this sensor is ca 5 years. Before that expires the unit ought to be replaced. **** MOTION DETECTOR [PIR] D E S C R I P T I O N IP Alarm s motion detector is what many call a PIR sensor (Passive Infrared) or PID sensor (Passive Infrared Detector). In daily use, a motion sensor is one of the most important components in the surveillance of your home against break-ins. It is best placed in areas where you expect a thief to pass. A little diode shows when the sensor is communicating with IP Alarm. All communication is done via the wireless technology, which the scanner and sensor utilize. You can see the sensor communicating when the light is on. E N E RG Y S A V I NG F U N C T I O N IP Alarm s motion sensor is designed to work for up to 2 years on the same batteries. One of the tricks IP Alarm uses is that it detects less when you are home. This means that the sensor will typically only sweep things every 5 minutes. Should a thief pass the motion sensor it will of course react immediately.therefore, if you 'play' with the sensor, you should know that there are a delay of up to 5minsbetween every reaction. T H E B E S T PL A C E M E N T 1. Persons who move across the motion sensor are seen best, so place the unit so that the thief passes by the sensor. See the illustration below. 2. Place the sensor ca 2-3m from the floor.

T H E W O R S T P L A C E M E N T S 1. Placement near heat sources. Heat sources generate a lot of dust. In addition, the infrared sensor reacts to heat. This can cause errors and false alarms. 2. Avoid placing furniture and the like which the burglar can hide behind. 3. Avoid letting the sensor point directly at any windows. R A N G E The range of IP Alarm s motion sensor is ca 100m in open country, but that number is not practically applicable. Depending on the walls, materials, etc., the range will vary. To improve the signal, you can try either moving the sensor or perhaps moving the scanner. If neither of these options has any effect, you can extend the range by installing anip Alarm signal extender. Page 7 of 16

B A T T E R Y C H A N G I N G A N D M A I N T E N A N C E We recommend disconnecting the hood and vacuuming the sensor on the inside once a year. Be careful not to damage the print card when you do. The life span of the batteries is up to 2 years. IP Alarm will let you know when they need changing. P E T S IP Alarm s motion detector is immune to smaller pets.the immunity covers pets smaller than ca 18kg and lower than 60cm. S P E C I F I C A T I O N S Angle of coverage: 110 Immunity: Up to 18 kg, 60cm tall Effective Distance: Max. 12 m at 25 C Power source: 1 pc 9V alkaline batteries Height of installation: 2-3 meters Surrounding temperature: -20 C - +50 C Maximum humidity: 95%RF This unit is for indoor use only. This outdoor siren points its flashing lights and loud alarm signal at your house. The siren is best placed on the ceiling or outdoors. Page 8 of 16 IP Alarm Copyright 2014 Rev 0. 0

W I R E LE S S W I T H E X T E R N A L P O WE R S UP P L Y IP Alarm s outdoor siren must be registered to your IP Alarm scanner to work. This happens wirelessly, of course. The siren will then automatically go off when an alarm is triggered. It is supplied with power from a power supply and a build-in backup battery. O N L I NE When you connect your siren to your IP Alarmscanner, it automatically goes online. It is then activated in the event of burglary, fire or gas leakage. Only devices enrolled to IP Alarm will work. R A N G E S P E C I F I C A T I O N S The range of your IP Alarm s outdoor siren is ca 100m in open country, however, this number is not practically applicable. Depending on the number of walls, materials, etc., the range will vary. To improve the signal you can try either moving the sensor or perhaps moving the scanner.if neither of these options has any effect you can extend the range by installing anip Alarm signal extender. Power: 110~230VAC Alarm Duration: Max. 3 minutes Range: 100m (Open area) Backup time: Ca 4 hours Humidity: Temperature: 10-95%Rh Sound level, Siren 130dB -10 C - +40 C Feature IP65 and waterproof H O W T O A D D T H E O U T DO O R S I R E N 1. SCANNER D E S C R I P T I O N The IP Alarm s scanner keeps watch in your home - even when you are not there. The IP Alarm scanner is the alarm s central component. It gathers data and starts the sirens in the event of fire and break-in. O N L I NE The scanner sends data to IP Alarm s protected servers online. Here is the data monitored and sent to your smartphone or tablet. For example by break-in, fire or smoke. Unlike similar systems, IP Alarm is in constant contact with your home and you mobile devices. While you are away,ip Alarm s keeps an eye on the activity in your home. C O N N E C T I O N T O T H E I N T E R NE T The installation process is very simple. Overall, you have to connect two cables. Electricity and internet. IP Alarm s handles the rest. The two connection points are shown on the illustration to the right. S U S P E N S I O N It is recommended to place the IP Alarm scanner somewhere central in the house so the wireless signals are optimized for all the units involved. B A T T E R Y B A C K U P The IP Alarm scanner is fitted with a battery, which functions as a backup if the electricity is cut off. The battery is switched OFF from the factory. Under the bottom of the scanner, there is a little switch for the battery. If you forget to turn it 'ON', IP Alarm will of course warn you. T H E S I R E N The Scanner has a built-in siren, whichis activated in the event of a break-in, even if the internet is unavailable. If you have connected other units to IP Alarm, theywill also be activated in the event of fire and gas leaks. Page 11 of 16

S E T T I N G S The scanner has no settings for you to worry about. You do all system settings via your own smartphone app. L E D L A M P The scanner is fitted with a LED light, which mean the following: Lamp Power Alarm mode Off System off Blue light External power connected Disarmed Blue light flashes slowly External power connected Armed or home-armed Blue light flashes fast External power connected Alarm set off Yellow light Battery backup power low Lamp Red light Red light flashes Mode 'Sensor enroll' open 'Sensor enroll' succeeded. Warnings and alarm s resets by disconnecting the burglary alarm. This is done via smartphone, IP Alarm s remote, or tablet. Information: The IP Alarms Scanner can handle more than 100 units at once. R A N G E The wireless range of the IP Alarm s scanner is ca 100m in open country. That number is not very applicable in practice, however. Depending on the number of walls, materials, energysaving windowpanes and the like, the range will vary. You can improve the signal by either moving the sensor or possibly moving the scanner. If this does not work, you can extend the range by adding anip Alarm s signal extender, which can repeat the signal. Page 12 of 16

**** SMOKE D E S C R I P T I O N IP Alarm s smoke detector uses the same wireless technology as other IP Alarm units. The sensor reacts to smoke, and as soon as it detects smoke in the vicinity,ip Alarm s discover it, whichimmediately ensures that you are alerted. The alarm results in the IP Alarm scanner s siren working with the siren in the detector when it is activated. At the same time, you and your loved ones will be alerted by your smartphone or by email. You decide who needs to be alerted. You can easily adjust this in your notification center in the IP Alarm app. It minimizes the response time for help to those who cannot leave the house on their own. If you have allied with a neighbor, they might be there in a few minutes. P E T S Do you remember your pets in the event of a fire? Normal smoke detectors protect you very well if they are heard, but if you are not home, it is a different story. The fifth member of the family in his doggy basket has a right to be helped as well - don't you agree? D I S A B L I NG A N A L A RM The smoke siren continues as long as it detects smoke. If you want to disable the siren, you have to disconnect the unit and take it away from the smoke. Other sirens are stopped by disarming the IP Alarm s system. This is easiest to do via IP Alarm remote or a smartphone with the IP alarm app. Page 14 of 16

M A I N T A I N A N C E Monthly: Check the function of your smoke detector. You must make sure that you have anip Alarm remote or your smartphone with a running IP Alarm App to hand when you test. Hold the test button on the smoke detector down for 5 seconds. The smoke siren will go off when you let the button go. Disable the alarm as described in the above section. Yearly: Clean the unit on the inside with a vacuum cleaner. B A T T E R Y With IP Alarm s Smoke, you will not forget to change the batteries so they run out while you are on holiday, because IP Alarm s keeps an eye on the battery for you and lets you know even if you are not at home. The life span of the battery is up to 2 years. IP Alarm will let you know when they need changing. The diode of the IP Alarm s smoke will also flash every 30 seconds.
