The students learn that they will need to have common denominators in order to add. The students may drag the circle pieces to determine the solution. Decimal and Whole Number Jeopardy http://www.quia.com/cb/8142.html This web site is for one or two players. The students will play Jeopardy to understand decimals and whole number comparisons. Great web site to have the students complete in small groups. Fraction Decimal Conversion http://www.quia.com/jg/65724.html Students can play matching, flash cards, or concentration to check understanding on fraction/decimal conversions. The games use a wide variety of conversions. The students can solve the problems by cross multiplication. Great way to show this concept.
