(Hons.) Course (2016-17) University of Mumbai invites applications in prescribed format for All India Entrance Examination Mumbai University Common Law Entrance Test (MUCLET) for admissions to Integrated Five Years B.B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) Course (academic year 2016-17) commencing from August, 2016 to be conducted at University National Law School, Fort Campus & School of Law, Thane Sub Campus. The rules of eligibility, total number of seats and other details for these programmes are as under: 1. Eligibility : Candidates who have cleared Senior Secondary School Examination (10+2 System) or HSC or Equivalent Examination with atleast 45% marks from Arts, Commerce, Science or any other streams in case of general category and atleast 40% of the total marks in case of SC and ST category. Candidates appearing in the above examination in March/April, 2016 are also eligible to apply. Note : 85% of total seats will be reserved for Students who are qualified and domicile in the State of Maharashtra (Kindly attach attested copy of Domicile Certificate along with the form) 2. Total Seats: I) University National Law School situated at Fort Campus : 60 II) School of Law situated at Thane Sub Campus : 60 ALL SEATS WILL BE FILLED AS PER THE MERIT SCORES OF MUMBAI UNIVERSITY COMMON LAW ENTRANCE TEST (MUCLET). RESERVATIONS AS PER UNIVERSITY RESERVATION POLICY SHALL APPLY. 3. Application Form : The application form for Mumbai University Common Law Entrance Test (MUCLET) for admissions to Integrated Five Years B.B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) Course is available on / downloadable from University Website (http://mu.ac.in/portal/wpcontent/uploads/2015/04/muclet.pdf). Candidates are required to download the form and take a print out on legal size plain paper from the above mentioned link. Candidates are required to fill in the prescribed format all the necessary details. The hard copies of the application form along with Demand Draft and other necessary documents to be submitted either at the office of University National Law School, Room No. 209, 2 nd Floor, University of Mumbai, Fort Campus, M.G. Road, Fort, Mumbai 400032 OR at the office of School of Law, University of Mumbai, Thane Sub Campus, Behind Runwal Garden City, Ram Maruti Nagar, Balkum, Thane (W) 400 608 within the prescribed time mentioned below. IMPORTANT NOTE : Candidates need to give his / her choice of preference regarding admission to institution in the Application form at point no. 7 which states as Admission Applied For : 1. University National Law School situated at Fort Campus & 2. SCHOOL OF LAW situated at Thane Sub Campus. Candidates need to mention clearly in the adjoining box as 1 or 2 as per his / her choice. Candidate will be not permitted to change his / her preference of admission under any circumstances or at any stage of admission process. INCOMPLETE FORMS SHALL BE REJECTED AND UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES THE ENTRANCE EXAM FEE SHALL BE REFUNDED TO THE CANDIDATES. 4. Entrance Exam Fees : For General Category Candidates : Rs.2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only) For Reserved Category Candidates : Rs.1,000/- (Rupees One thousand only) In case of reserved Category they need to produce copy of requisite Caste, Validity and Non Creamy layer Certificate issued by the Competent Authority along with the application form for claiming exemption under reserved category The Demand Draft must be drawn in favour of Finance and Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai, payable at Mumbai issued by a Nationalized Bank. Note : No payment of Fees by Cash / Money Order / Postal Order / Personal Cheques shall be accepted under any circumstances. The Full Name of the Candidate and the Contact Number should be clearly mentioned behind the Demand Draft. 5. Details of Entrance Exam : The entrance exam shall consist of questions testing English grammar and vocabulary, General Knowledge and Current affairs, Legal Aptitude, Reasoning and basic Mathematics. The entrance exam shall be conducted only in English Language only. The detailed list of all Candidates who have applied for entrance exam shall be notified on University Website before the exam. If a Candidate remains absent for whatsoever reasons, under no circumstances no entrance exam shall be reconducted for such Candidates and neither the entrance exam fee shall be refunded. 6. About the Course : Integrated Five Years Management & Law Degree Programme B.B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) Course is very dynamic programme with ten semesters. The details of fees structure are also available on the University website. 7. Interview : There shall be a formal interview of all qualified candidates who have cleared the entrance exam and whose names appear in merit list based on MUCLET scores before the admission process. At any stage if a Candidate is found to have given incorrect information or have broken the rules of the University, then his/her admission is liable to be cancelled. Page 3/- 2
