2 The School of Environmental & Earth Sciences is one of the new Schools in the University and was established on 1 st July The School has a building with 7500 sq. m. built up area. In shorts span of 12 years, the school has established excellent laboratories and library facilities to get quality education in the field of environment and earth sciences. Prof. S. T. Ingle is Director of the School. Eco-friendly sustainable approach in the process of development is a unique culture developed at the school. School offers four Post Graduate courses viz. Environmental Science, Applied Geology, Applied Geography and M. Tech in Environmental Science and Technology. The School has received research projects grants from various agencies like DST, UGC, MoEF, UNICEF, DRDO, MoWR etc. The school is covered under the special Assistance Programme (UGC- SAP-DRS, Phase II) of UGC and FIST (Level-I), DST, New Delhi for financial Assistance for five years. OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE The six month certificate course in Industrial Safety and Management conducted by the School of Environmental and Earth Sciences, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon has been designed for meeting the demand of the growing needs of experts in the fields of industrial, occupational and fire safety. The course will develop safety engineering skills among the graduates which help the students in securing meaningful employment.

3 UGC APPROVED SIX MONTHS CAREER ORIENTED CERTIFICATE COURSE IN INDUSTRIAL SAFETY AND MANAGEMENT Applications are invited for admission to the UGC approved six months career oriented Certificate Course in Industrial Safety and Management from 1 st July, 2016 under School of Environmental and Earth Sciences, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. This Certificate Course is of 20 credits. Duration Six Months Eligibility A candidate should have passed Higher Secondary Certificate. Candidates who admitted to B. A., B. Com. and B. Sc. B.E. are eligible for admission. Number of Seats 30 Selection Criteria Merit Course Fee Once it is confirmed that admission is being offered to candidate, students have to pay Rs. 2505/- Note: In service candidate have to pay additional tuition fee of Rs.1000/- (One time consolidated at the time of admission). Submission of Application (Application forms may be downloaded from the University website and to be submitted either in person or by post, at the office of the School of Environmental and Earth Sciences, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon along with a Demand Draft /Bank Challan of Rs.100/- drawn in favor of Finance and Account Officer, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon as application fee. All application forms must be properly filled in. (Incomplete forms will be rejected) Date for publication of final list of selected candidates Last date for Admission (Reservations for ST/SC/NT/OBC and others will be made as per University rules.)
