Heli-skiing is also available through a few companies from the Schmittenhohebahn; and the more adventurous can try their hand at ice climbing! Après-Ski Après-ski is lively and varied in both Kaprun and Zell am See, with plenty of cafes, bars and discos. Come evening, intimate taverns and rollicking discos open their doors. The largest (and the liveliest) night haunt in the region lies on the outskirts of Kaprun: The Baum Bar Reiteralm has a huge dance floor is usually packed by midnight. Party goers boogie until closing time at 6am. The Sportstüberl, in the Hotel Lebzelter, is an après-ski bar built in the 1700s and is full of bartenders wearing lederhosen. It is open from 4pm to 4am and offers an amazing atmosphere where locals and tourists gather for a cold beer or a hot Jägertee. Thanks to its valley location, Kaprun is extremely popular for cross-country skiing with 200km of trails. These trails offer something for all skill levels and provide fantastic panoramic views.
