Getting Started
The first thing you ll need to do is create a new account by clicking on the green + next to Create Account Getting Started

The Dashboard General Information Lake Geneva weather data is automatically shared with every new account so that people can test drive some of the features even if they don t have a Acu-Link system of their own.
The Dashboard Weather Widgets The shared Lake Geneva Weather Widgets display information about barometric pressure, temperature, humidity, rainfall, wind speed, wind direction and future weather forecast.

The Dashboard Weather Widgets Weather Select Weather Widget 1. Weather Select Widget Type 2. Weather Select Information 3. Weather Select Widget Name The Weather Select widget is a special widget that the user can create based on their other weather sensor readings. Weather Select Widget types include: 4 hour forecast, 4-8 hour forecast, 8-12 hour forecast, 12-24 hour forecast*, heat index*, dew point*, wind chill*, feels like temperature* * Indicates Coming soon!
The Dashboard Weather Widgets Weather Widgets can be hidden from the dashboard view by clicking on the red arrow in the upper corner of the widget. The Weather Widget will be stored in the My Sources side bar.
The Dashboard Weather Widgets Hiding a Weather Select forecast widget from view removes it from your dashboard permanently. To re-add this type of widget, you will need to remove and then re-add the shared bridge.
The Dashboard My Sources Weather Widgets can be reactivated by clicking the green arrow. If a sensor that you are not interested in following appears on your Dashboard, you can delete it by clicking the red x. If you ever want to add back sensors after they are deleted, you can get to them by using the Manage Sensors button. The left My Sources pane shows all of the weather networks you are currently following.
The Dashboard Manage Sensors Click the green + on the Manage Sensors page to re-claim a sensor that you have deleted from your dashboard. Then click Save to return to the Dashboard view.
The Dashboard Charting Each Weather Widget has a Chart button which allows you to chart the historical data of that widget along with others of the same type.
The Dashboard Widget Settings Each Weather Widget also has a Settings button which allows you to name, share, and set the units the Weather Widget reports its data in.

Note: You can only adjust the name and placement on weather sensors that are part of your own weather network. Click the red x next to cancel to return to the Dashboard.
Setting Up My Web Bridge
Setting Up My Web Bridge General Information Use the red arrows to hide all the Lake Geneva weather widgets and we ll show you how to add your own bridge. Now click the pull down menu arrow on the right upper corner of the dashboard.

Setting Up My Web Bridge On the My Web Bridges page click the green + to add a new bridge to your system.
Setting Up My Web Bridge Enter the MAC ID Number from your web bridge into the spaces provided and enter the street address where the bridge is located. Click Save to return to the dashboard.
Setting Up My Web Bridge After saving, the main dashboard view returns. You will note that the pressure for your new bridge now has a widget with --, this is normal and will be updated after about a minute. After a minute click the Reload button on your browser to refresh the page and see your weather sensors.
Sharing My Weather
Sharing My Weather You may want to share your weather information with a friend, family member or neighbor. With Acu-Link this is very simple. Click on the Settings button of the weather widget you want to share.
Sharing My Weather You will now see that you can provide a custom name, select indoor or outdoor, and choose to share your weather sensor. Select Yes for sharing and click Save.
Following A Friend s Weather
Following A Friend s Weather For your friend to see your weather info they will need to create an Acu-Link account following the same steps you have done. Then they would select Follow My Friend s Bridge from the pull down menu of the Dashboard.
Following A Friend s Weather On the Web Bridges I m Following page you can add or delete bridges to follow. You will note that the Lake Geneva bridge appears in this section. Click the green + symbol to add a friends bridge.
Following A Friend s Weather You will need the MAC address of the bridge you want to follow. Enter: 00 0F 73 in the last 3 fields to see another test bridge at the Chaney Instrument offices. Then click the Save button to return to the Dashboard.
Following A Friend s Weather The Dashboard can quickly get full of weather widgets as you experiment with adding shared bridges. Now use the Follow My Friend s Bridge menu selection to delete the bridge you just added.
Following A Friend s Weather Click the red x to delete the Chaney Instrument test bridge. When asked, confirm your selection by clicking the OK button.
Weather Select Widgets
Weather Select Widgets With your own bridge and sensors you will notice that you can create Weather Select Weather Widgets. Click the green arrow next to Weather Select to set up a forecasting Weather Widget.
Weather Select Widgets When the Weather Select Weather Widget appears, you can select the function for the widget from the pull down menu. Then click the Save button.
Weather Select Widgets To configure the Weather Select Weather Widget you will need to click the Settings button.
Weather Select Widgets From the settings page you can select which outdoor sensor to use for the forecast, geographic region, and whether to share the Weather Select widget with friends. Click the Geographic Region button to get your forecast widget setup.
Weather Select Widgets AcuRite s patent pending precision forecasting divides North America into 7 geographic climate regions. Select the region that best matches your home region. Click the Save button to return to the settings page.

Weather Select Widgets The Weather Select forecasting widget will now begin collecting data, after 4 hours it will provide a highly accurate forecast based on your micro region and the weather conditions measured in your own backyard.
Sharing My Weather With A Weather Community
Sharing With Weather Communities Some users will want to share their weather info with Weather Communities online. One major weather community is www.wunderground.com and Acu-Link lets you share your info to an account that you will need to setup on their page. A tutorial is available at: http://www.wunderground.com/wxstation/signup.html After creating an account click Share My Bridge from the Dashboard pull down menu.
Sharing With Weather Communities Select the bridge and sensor you want to share. Then enter your Weather Underground Station ID and Password and click the box to enable sharing. Click the Save button to return to the Dashboard, your weather information will be sent to WU at regular intervals.
