Title: Graduate Network Support Engineer Directorate: IT Band: 5 Salary: 24,000-26,000 Reports To: IT Support Manager Location: Swindon Contract: Permanent Job purpose Innovate UK has a number of key internal and wider customer groups. There is a need to deliver highly performing and reliable IT systems and services to these groups to ensure the operational effectiveness of the organisation. The Network Support Engineer role will provide technical support to our expanding organisation, whether based in the office or on the road. It will be responsible for identifying and resolving issues reported by customers or partners. The successful candidate will use their network engineering knowledge and broader IT experience to diagnose and resolve critical issues. Key responsibilities and accountabilities Liaise with third party providers in relation to IT infrastructure needs Ensure Infrastructure support processes are documented and maintained Troubleshooting vendor devices and network related problems Diagnosing hardware and software faults related to IT infrastructure Assist Support Manager and wider support team in ensuring wider support needs are met across desktop and application support areas Recording and logging faults, activities and tasks Investigating and resolving network/server issues Update and maintain inventory & asset registers General network administration Ensure support provided in line with agreed service levels Person specification Qualifications To apply you must be educated to undergraduate degree level in one of the following areas: Information Technology, Computer Networking, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other numerate degree. You must be due to graduate in the coming year or have graduated in the last 12 months.
