INSTALLATION GUIDE for the SB-C-CTS/10TW3 SKU# 94552 2008 & Up Cadillac CTS/CTS-V If you choose to perform the installation yourself, it is absolutely vital that the Stealthbox be properly mounted to the vehicle according to these instructions. Failure to mount the enclosure properly presents two problems: 1) The sub-bass performance will suffer due to the movement of the enclosure caused by the force exerted by the woofer(s). 2) A loose enclosure presents a serious safety hazard in the event of a collision or sudden deceleration. INSTALLATION DIFFICULTY: 2OUT OF 5 ESTIMATED TIME: 1 HOUR SPECIFICATIONS Enclosure Type: Sealed Driver Type: 10TW3-D4 Nominal Impedance: 2 ohms Continuous Power Handling: 400 watts (RMS method) Thank you for choosing a JL Audio Stealthbox for your automotive sound system. With proper installation, your new vehicle-specific enclosed subwoofer system will deliver years of listening pleasure. INCLUDED HARDWARE (1) Rear Bracket (1) Side Bracket (2) 3/8-16 x 1 Hex Bolt (4) 3/8 Flat Washer (4) 3/8 x 1-1/4 Diameter Flat Washer (5) 3/8 Lock Washer (5) 3/8-16 Hex Nut (3) 3/8-16 U-Nut (3) 3/8-16 x 2-1/4 Set Screw (1) 3/4 Aluminum Spacer (2) 6mm x 1.0 Flange Nut We strongly recommend that you have your new Stealthbox installed by your authorized JL Audio dealer. The installation professionals employed by your dealer have the necessary tools and experience to disassemble and reassemble your vehicle properly. If you prefer to perform your own installation, please read this installation guide completely before beginning the process.

POWER RECOMMENDATION JL Audio recommends high quality amplifiers such as the JL Audio XD300/1. The diagram below shows the recommended crossover settings for the XD300/1. For a detailed description of the amplifier settings, consult the owner s manual for the amplifier. If another amplifier is being used, please reference this illustration and use similar settings on that amplifier. CONNECTIONS Using quality power, signal, and speaker wire is essential in ensuring the performance of your Stealthbox. JL Audio recommends using a 4 AWG power kit such as the XD-PCS4-1B for your Stealthbox amplifier. Other kits are available should you be using more than one amplifier. Signal wire such as the JL Audio Premium Audio Interconnect Cables should be used to provide signal for both channels of the amplifier. JL Audio reccomends using 12AWG speaker wire for subwoofers. STEP 9 Unplug all of the harnesses from the factory amplifier. STEP 13 Secure the bottom of the Rear Bracket to the hole from Step 11 using a 3/8-16 x 1 Hex Bolt, two 3/8 Flat Washers, a 3/8 Lock Washer, and a 3/8-16 Hex Nut as illustrated in Step 12. Do not tighten at this time. STEP 10 Remove the four nuts that hold the amplifier to the trunk wall, and remove the amplifier. STEP 14 Align the upper right side of the Rear Bracket vertically with the raised porttion of the trunk wall as shown. Mark the location of the upper hole on the trunk wall. Rotate the bracket out of the way and drill a 7/16 hole on the mark. Before drilling, always make sure that you are not going to be drilling into any gas lines, brake lines, tires, transmission lines, electrical wiring, exhaust systems or anything else that might cause a reduction in your weekly pay. S T E P 11 Locate the factory hole at the bottom of the trunk wall, and enlarge the hole to 7/16. Before drilling, always make sure that you are not going to be drilling into any gas lines, brake lines, tires, transmission lines, electrical wiring, exhaust systems or anything else that might cause a reduction in your weekly pay. STEP 15 Rotate the Rear Bracket back into position. Secure the top of the Rear Bracket to the hole from the previous step using a 3/8-16 x 1 Hex Bolt, two 3/8 Flat Washers, a 3/8 Lock Washer, and a 3/8-16 Hex Nut as illustrated in Step 12. Firmly tighten both the upper and lower hardware. Slide a 3/8-16 U-Nut over each of the other holes in the Rear Bracket. Always wear eye protection when drilling! STEP 12 Refer to this illustration for clarity in Steps 13, 15, and 19. STEP 16 Align the Side Bracket over the two lower computer bracket studs. Secure the bracket with a pair of 6mm x 1.0 Flange Nuts. Slide a 3/8-16 U-Nut over the other hole in the Side Bracket. Page 4 JL Audio, Inc., 2013

STEP 19 Thread a 3/8-16 x 2-1/4 Set Screw through each of the 3/8-16 U-Nut on the Rear Bracket leaving approximately 1-1/4 exposed as illustrated in Step 12. STEP 23 Slide a 3/8 Flat Washer, a 3/8 Lock Washer, and a 3/8-16 Hex Nut onto each of the three 3/8-16 x 2-1/4 Set Screws and fully tighten. Reinstall the subwoofer.
