Installing the IVMS ZoomVideo software on a PC The ivms ZoomVideo software can be downloaded, free of charge, from the ZoomVideo website. Go to http://zoomvideo.com.au/, click on support and select the ivms-4000 ZoomVideo Client Software link. Once the software has finished downloading, locate the ivms-4000(v2.0).exe on your hard drive and open it. An install wizard, that will guide you through the install progress, will appear. Click next to move to the Customer Information screen and enter a username and company name of your choice. Then click next. Page 1 of 11
Choose a place to install the software. If unsure, leave the default location. Click next and then install. The software will then begin installing on your computer. The computer may prompt you midway to install WinPcap. If it does, click next and then I agree. Ensure the Automatically start the WinPcap driver at boot time option is ticked and click install. When this finishes click finish. When the ZoomVideo install has finished, ensure that the Run the Application option is ticked and click finish. The first time the ZoomVideo software opens it will ask you to create a username and password. Enter a username and then enter a password twice. You will need to enter these login details each time you open the ZoomVideo software. Page 2 of 11
Adding a DVR in ivms ZoomVideo To add a DVR click on the Setup tab at the top of the screen. Right click on the Monitor Area area and select Add Device. This will open a window where you can enter the details of your DVR. If you have multiple DVRs you will need to add multiple devices. Field Setting Device Name DVR1 (A name of your choice.) Device IP 255.255.255.255 (Can be obtained from your installer.) Username client Channel No. 8 (The number of cameras connected to the DVR) DNS Address Leave Blank Serial Number Leave Blank Register Mode Normal IP Port 8000 Password password (Can be obtained from your installer.) Repeat this process to add another DVR. The details of extra DVRs will be the same, except for the port number. DVR number two will have a port number of 8002, DVR number three will have 8004 etc. The DVR should now appear under the Monitor Area area. To test the DVR, click on the Preview tab at the top of the screen. Expand the DVR by clicking on the plus symbol next to the DVR name. Page 4 of 11
This will display a list of the cameras connected to the DVR. Double click on a camera to preview it. Install the IVMS ZoomVideo Software on an iphone Download the ivms-4500 Lite app to your iphone using the Apple App Store. Once the download has begun it will automatically download and install the app. The ivms-4500 icon will be marked as loading and installing as it is downloaded. When it is ready it will be marked as ivms-4500. The first time you open the app it will ask you to create a username and password. Enter a username and then a password of your choice. You will need to enter the password twice. You will be prompted for this username and password each time you open the app. Page 5 of 11
Add a DVR to an iphone Open the ivms-4500 Lite app. If you have not already downloaded it, you will need to do so. Select devices from the main menu of the ivms-4500 app. Select add from the top right corner. Page 6 of 11
You will then be prompted for the details of the DVR. Enter the details of the DVR before selecting save, in the top right corner. Field Setting Device Name DVR1 (A name of your choice.) Register Mode IP Device IP 10.64.0.x (Can be obtained from your installer.) Port 8000 Username client Password 1324 Channel No. 8 (The number of cameras connected to the DVR) Once you select save you will be returned to the device list which will now include the DVR you added. Select ivms-4500, at the top left of the screen, to go back to the main menu. Page 7 of 11
View a Camera using an iphone To view a camera select Live from the main menu of the IVMS-4500 app. You will see four small windows, each of which can display a camera. Select a plus symbol to choose a camera to view. Page 8 of 11
Select your DVR and then select a camera. If you have not already added a DVR, you will need to do so. Refer to the Add a DVR to an iphone section of this guide. You will be returned to the Live screen where your camera will now be displayed. To add another camera, select another plus symbol and repeat this process. Double tapping on a camera will make that camera full screen. Double tap again to return to the four camera display. Page 9 of 11
Setting up a VPN connection on an iphone To set up a VPN connection to ZoomVideo first open the Settings app on your iphone. From the main menu in the Settings app select General, Network, VPN and then select Add VPN Configuration. At the top of the screen select PPTP as the type of VPN connection. Your phone will return to the VPN menu which will now include the ZoomVideo VPN connection. To connect to the VPN connection, first ensure that the ZoomVideo connection has a tick next to it. If there is no tick next to it, select it by touching it. At the top of the screen touch the VPN off/on slider to connect To disconnect, touch the on/off slider again. Page 11 of 11
