Introduction Welcome to the. This document provides quick, easy-tofollow instructions for using the new. For more detailed instructions, see the Call Report Pro Product Manual. Step 1: Install the Program Each installation of software must be performed on the machine that will be using the application. 1. If your is on CD-ROM, insert the disc into your CD-ROM drive. If the CD does not automatically run, you will need to start the installation manually. To do this, access Widows Explorer and navigate to your CD-ROM drive. Double-click the file PrFilSte.exe. Skip to step 3. 2. If you download the executable file from our website, double-click this file to begin the installation. 3. When the Welcome to the Jack Henry Installation dialog box appears, click Next. 4. Choose to install Form Type FFIEC 041 or FFIEC 031 (or both), and then click Next. 5. Next, verify the default application and data directories for, and make changes if necessary. Click Next when you are finished verifying the installation and data paths. Once you have installed the program, you can switch to another data directory by clicking the Settings button on the home screen, or in the File > Open dialog box. 6. Click Next to begin installing. 7. Choose whether you want to automatically check for updates, and then click Finish. Special Instructions for Installation Due to differences in hardware, network security policies and software policies (e.g., Administrator assistance required for installation), we recommend that you refer to page 2 of the Product Manual before installing the software. Step 2: Start the Program 1. On your desktop, double-click the Pro-Filing Suite icon or click Start > Programs > Jack Henry > Pro-Filing Suite > Jack Henry Pro-Filing Suite. 2. Click the icon on the Pro-Filing Suite introduction page. 1
Step 3: Set up your Bank or Open an Existing Bank for the 1 st Time this Quarter 1. On the home screen, click New, and then click FFIEC 031 or FFIEC 041 in the New Call Report dialog box. 2. Enter your bank s demographic information and CDR login, and then click. If you are a previous user and installed to the same directory as last quarter, your information will be filled in automatically after you type in your ID RSSD #. 3. Complete your bank s answers to the reporting requirements questions on the next five screens. In subsequent quarters, your answers will automatically be populated. You can change information on these screens at any time by selecting Reporting Requirements from the View menu. 4. Click when finished. 5. When prompted, click the appropriate button selection that addresses your Prior Quarter Data needs. If you receive a message that you are missing Prior Quarter Data, click Yes to load Prior Quarter Data from the CDR. This step is necessary for the program to properly validate your data. The program will now create your bank data files and take you to the first entry field on the cover page of the Call Report. To open an existing bank, click on its Short Name or click Open home screen; click File > Open if you are already in the program. on the Step 4: Enter your Data 1. Enter dollar amounts rounded to the nearest thousand. 2. Move to the next line item by pressing the Enter j or Tab f keys, or by clicking in the field. 3. When you complete the data in one schedule, the program automatically moves to the next schedule. If you want to use the DataLink or RC-R Worksheet tools to prepare your Call Report data, please refer to the Product Manual for complete instructions. Step 5: Save Your Data After you make additions or changes to your Call Report, it is a good idea to save your data. Click File > Save, or click Save on the toolbar, to periodically save your Call Report data. 2
Step 6: Verify your Data There are several ways to verify your data: Data Entry with Related Errors View To view a description of a regulatory error, click a value, and then click View > Data Entry with Related Errors or the Data Entry with Related Errors button on the toolbar. List of Errors View To view a list of Call Report errors grouped by type, click View > List of Errors or click the List of Errors button on the toolbar. Tip: You can quickly jump to the line items that are causing you to fail edits by clicking the line item hyperlinks in the List of Errors error window. Make all necessary corrections to your data, or input explanations regarding your edit failures, to ensure that your Call Report data is error-free before transmitting to the regulators. Step 7: Print your Data 1. Click File > Print or click the Print button on the toolbar. 2. Select what you would like to print from the Schedules/Reports section. Click Print. Alternately, to print in PDF format, check the Print to PDF box in the Options area before clicking Print. If the program finds regulatory errors in your data, a brief message appears. To continue printing, click OK. To return to the Call Report, click Cancel. Step 8: Transmit your Call Report Caution There is not a Test Transmit procedure available for the CDR through. Therefore, only follow the instructions below when you are ready to transmit completed data to the regulators. 1. Click Communications > Transmit your Call Report or click the Transmit button on the toolbar. 2. Follow the on-screen prompts to transmit your data to the Central Data Repository (CDR). 3. You should receive an e-mail confirmation from the CDR notifying you of your transmission status. If you do not receive this e-mail notification, log in to the CDR s website, click My Account, and then View FI Reporting Status to view and print your report status submission. Tip: Troubleshoot problems connecting to the CDR in Help by clicking Help > Topics > Communicating with the CDR > Addressing Connection Errors. Step 9: Back up your Data 1. Click the Backup button on the home screen. 2. Select the Call Report you want to back up, and click Backup. 3. Browse to the folder where you would like to save your file or accept the default location and click Save. 4. Click OK when the backup is complete. 5. Click Close when you are finished. Step 10: Analyze your Data Analyze your current and historical Call Report data with BankMiner. Included are a variety of presentation-quality, pre-designed reports that you can print and export in PDF, Excel and HTML formats. 1. There are several ways to access BankMiner: Click the BankMiner icon on the Pro- Filing Suite introduction page, or within select Reports > BankMiner, or click the icon on the toolbar. 2. Click the drop-down menus (on the left of the BankMiner dialog box) to view the various reports contained within the selected category (Capital Analysis, Comparative Analysis, Peer Analysis, Performance Highlights, or Ratio Review). 3. Select a report within the chosen category. A brief description of the report will appear on the screen. 4. Click Generate a Report to continue. 5. If you have more than one institution s data available to, select the applicable institution, and then click Continue. 6. Select the time period(s) that you would like to view in your report, and then click Continue. 7. Once the report has been generated, it will appear in the Preview Form dialog box. 8. To print the report, click the Print button; to export your report, click the Export drop-down box to select the preferred method (PDF, Excel, or HTML). For reports containing peer data, you will be prompted to type in abbreviated Short Names for your selected peer banks before clicking Continue. For the A/L Management report, you will be prompted to enter your Bank s Policy Guidelines before clicking Continue. 4
