Sect ion 1- Basics The Log in Screen allows the user to enter their employee number and read any pertinent information. 1. Touch the floating logo; the log-in screen will display 2. Read the messages displayed on the screen 3. Enter your login number or swipe your mag-card. The Clock-In Screen allows user to select the job code they are working for that shift and clock into the system 1. Highlight the appropriate job code 2. Touch Clock In *Note: If a message screen appears, read the message carefully. Then, tap the message to clear the screen* At this point you will be brought to a floor plan or the Working With Tables screen or referred to from this point on the WWT screen. For this guide we will pretend we are in a
restaurant that does not have a floor plan. Even if you do have a floor plan the WWT screen can be very useful to you The WWT screen enables a server to start new orders, transfer and receive tables, re-open existing tables, perform check out duties, adjust tips, open cash drawer, get open checks, and view sales reports. New Order: Allows a server/bartender to create a new check 1) Select tabs or tables in the top right of the WWT screen 2) Touch the New Order button. 3) Enter a tab name or select a table number To Open an Existing Table: 1) Return to the WWT screen 2) In the Open Tables area, select tabs or tables and touch the check you would like to open.
Transfers 1) Sending A Transfer: a. Touch the Transfer button b. Select the tab/table number to be transferred c. Highlight the employee to receive the transfer
2) Receiving/Accepting a Transfer: If someone sends you a transfer, the next time you login into the WWT screen you will have pending transfers on the left side of the screen. a. Select the pending transfer. b. Click on New Order c. Select if you want to put this under a tab or table d. Select the table or name the tab Break Button: If a server has no open checks they may go on break instead of checking and clocking out. 1) Select the Break button 2) Select the Start Unpaid Break button 3) When your break is over, select the End Break button Get Check: The Get Check option allows a server to assist another server with an open check. The server will take the check, make any adjustments (add menu items, etc.) and then return the check to the original server. You can only do this if your job code/access level allows it. 1) Select Get Check 2) Enter the table or check number, touch OK 3) The Order Entry screen appears with the open check 4) Make necessary adjustments to the check 5) Select Close 6) Select Return Check 7) Select OK to confirm Tips Button: The Tips Button allows a server to adjust, or add tips for each credit card payment. 1) Select Tips 2) Select the appropriate credit card payment
3) Highlight the correct check number 4) Enter the tip amount on the keypad, touch OK 5) Select Done Cash Drawer: The cash drawer may be opened to make change for guests or any miscellaneous functions. 1) Select Open Drawer Sect ion 2 Ordering Entry Screen Shown above is the order entry screen. It is from this screen that you will do all of your item ordering, modifying, and payments. Listed below are some of the buttons that you have access to on this page and a brief explanation of what they are used for.
Submenu Buttons: The Submenu buttons allows the server to move between the different menus. (Beverages, Breakfast, Appetizers, etc.) Quantity Button: This feature allows a server to order the same item numerous times without having to touch the button repeatedly. 1) Highlight the menu item on the check. (If an item is not highlighted, the quantity button will increase the quantity of the last item ordered.) 2) Select Quantity button 3) Enter the quantity on the keypad 4) Select OK Repeat: Used when an item is ordered several times at a particular table. 1) Highlight the menu item on the check 2) Select the Repeat button as many times as needed Modify: Used when a server needs to further modify an item before it is ordered. 1) Highlight the menu item to modify 2) Select Modify 3) Select the appropriate modifiers for the item. 4) If no modifier is available, select the typewriter icon to enter a message. This typed message will be on the check so be careful what you type. Delete: Used to delete any unordered item(s). 1) Highlight the unwanted item(s) 2) Select Delete button Hold: Used for timing an order. This will prevent an item from being ordered until further notice. All items must be taken off hold before a check can be paid out. When a table has items being held on it, the table will blink on the WWT screen. 1) Highlight menu items to be held 2) Select the Hold button. (The item will change color.) 3) To take an item off hold a. Highlight the item b. Select Order Order Mode Buttons: An order mode is how an item is sent to the kitchen to be prepared. Here, Togo, Delivery, etc. 1) Done sends all unordered items to the kitchen using the default order mode and exits the system 2) The order modes listed to the right of the Done button will make the check a different order mode and send them to the kitchen with the appropriate markers. This will not automatically close the screen. Table Action Buttons 1) Clear Button: This function clears all items not yet ordered. For example, the server has entered the wrong items for a specific table and realizes the mistake before selecting the order button.
3) Split Check Button: The Split Check function is used to split a single check into multiple checks after the items have already been ordered. Checks may be added or combined and single items may be split. a. From the Order Entry Screen b. Select Split c. Select Add to add more checks d. Highlight the item(s) to be moved to the new check e. Touch the blank check
4) Split Item: The Split Item button allows the user to split a single item, such as a Dessert or Appetizer, between multiple persons. a. From the Order Entry Screen b. Select Split c. Highlight item to be split d. Select Split Items e. Enter quantity to split by, touch OK f. Select the split items to move them to different checks. 5) Combine a Check: Allows a user to combine separate checks onto one ticket. a. From the Order Entry Screen b. Select Split c. Select item(s) on the specific check to combine d. Select desired check to transfer items to e. Click OK 6) Add Button: The Add button is used to create separate checks for one table when starting an order. This feature allows the checks to be split when initially when ordering and displays the entire order on one kitchen ticket. You can move between these checks by selecting the numbers above close, add, and transfer. a. Order menu items for check #1 b. Select Add c. Order menu items for check #2 d. Repeat as necessary, select Done when finished. 7) Transfer Button: Transfers the order to another user a. From the Order Entry Screen b. Select Transfer c. Highlight the employee to receive the transfer d. Select OK 8) Close: Takes you to the payments, comps, and promos screen.
Sect ion 3 Pay m ents The Payments screen is where you handle everything at the end of the guest s meal. Whether that is printing their check, applying comps or promos, or simply running their card to pay for the meal. Here is a breakdown of the buttons you will find on this screen. Table Button: Will take you back to the floor plan or WWT screen Print Button: Prints a copy of the check Print All Button: Prints a copy of all separate checks on the table Exit: Exits the user from the system Delete: Deletes a payment, comp, or promo from the check Adjust: The adjust button is used to adjust a payment type on an open check. Highlight the payment and select adjust. Enter the correct payment type. Tax Exempt Button: The tax exempt button is used for organizations that have a valid tax exempt ID number(i.e. churches, schools)
Add Gratuity: The add gratuity button is used to add a fixed percentage tip to a check for parties of a certain size. (i.e. 10 or more) Payment Buttons 1) Cash Payment a. From the Payment Screen b. Select Cash c. Enter amount tendered d. Select OK e. Select red Close button to close the check 2) Credit Card Payment a. From the Payment Screen b. Select the Credit Card type(amex, Visa, etc.) c. Enter payment amount; select OK d. Enter tip amount or leave blank, you can enter it later; Select OK e. Swipe Credit Card or enter manually f. Select Close 3) Adding Tips after the Check has been Closed a. From WWT Screen or floor plan b. Select Tips or Adjust Tips c. Select the credit card payment type d. Select the table number e. Enter the tip; Select OK 4) E-Card/Gift Cards a. Select E-Card/Gift Card b. Run it just like a credit card
Promo and Comp Screens: Applying either of these is the same, you just have to select either comp or promo in the top right 1) From the Payment Screen 2) Select Promo/Comp 3) Select the appropriate comp or promo 4) Select OK 5) Close out remainder of check with payment
