Optional Extension Trip Packages Make the most of that once in a lifetime opportunity These are your extension trip options and activities to add onto your Peru trip! Option 1 - Free Travel:- Day 9 - Day 17:- Free travel. This option allows you to go and travel Peru at your own free will. There will be no support from LSU Rag travel team and you will be responsible for arriving at the Airport in Lima on 24 th August 2015. If you miss your flight, that is your responsibility. We will also not be able to offer any financial support should you run out of money. If you are selecting this option, you will be required to submit an itinerary of your travel through Peru so that we are aware of your movements. We must stress that this option means you are solely responsible for your travel, including booking and paying for an accommodation and activities. Option 2 - Cusco and Huacachina:- Day 9 - Day 11:- Cusco. Following your return from Machu Picchu, you will be free to relax and unwind in the stunning city of Cusco the ancient Inca Capital. As part of the experience, you will be able to stroll around the local market, soak up the Peruvian culture, get a taste of the local drinks, and generally experience the real Peru. It is traditional after your hard days trekking to experience the delights of a Cusco night out, although this is of course optional. Day 11 - Day 12:- Transfer to Huacachina. Peru is a very large country and the Ica region is some distance from Cusco. As part of the experience, we have laid on the pinnacle of luxury coach travel to get you there through the night. The level of quality is equivalent to that of first class air travel! Day 12 - Day 17:- Huacachina. Quite probably the most amazingly place you will ever go after Machu Picchu of course. This is a stunning oasis set in the heart of the Ica District. Your experience here will be nothing short of spectacular. We will put you up in a hostel, with access to a great pool and sun beds so that you can relax to your hearts content. On top of that there are many lively bars and restaurants to keep you entertained throughout the day and night. If you d prefer to be more active than rejoicing in the endless sun, then there are pedal and rowing boats that you can take out on the oasis. Of course this can be complemented by a jug of home craft lemonade or a bottle of Cusquena beer.
If that isn t enough, Huacachina is famous for something a little more extreme, sand boarding and dune buggying throughout the desert! Experience the stunning sunset whilst roaring across some of the largest sand dunes in the world at extreme speed; then get out on your sand boards and race your friends down the dunes time after time. You can go and experience this as many times as you wish, it isn t covered as we thought you d rather book at your convenience. The rate is around 10 for two hours of adrenaline filled enjoyment. Day 17:- Unfortunately your trip of a lifetime will have to come to an end. We will be there to soothe your holiday blues, with private coach transfer from your hostel in Huacachina to the airport in Lima for your return to the UK. Option 3 - Cusco and Huacachina plus One Additional Activity (1 from 2 below) In addition to everything in Option 2, you can add on the Waterfall Abseiling and Giant Rope Swing experience or the Zip-Line and via Ferrata. These activities will either take place on Day 10, or Day 11 of your trip. Option 1:- Waterfall Abseiling and Giant Rope Swing: Like nothing else you have ever experienced. This is a once in a lifetime activity, to add to a once in a lifetime trip. You will arrive at the top of the mountains surrounding the Cusco region. Once kitted out in wetsuits, you will be lead to the first waterfall at 15 metres it
is a significant challenge, but simply preparation for the 3 to come. Once over this hurdle, you will have an easy 6 metre descent before the real challenge begins. A 25 metre drop, followed by the final challenge a waterfall the same height as the Niagara Falls at 55 metres which you will be dropping right over the top of. After you dry from this, all that is left is the giant rope swing not far from Cusco is a real adrenaline experience not to be missed. After some time to relax since your epic adventure, we will pick you up from Cusco, drive you to the rope swing, where you will be given a briefing, before being roped up to one of the largest swings anywhere in the world. Included in this, will be lunch and transport back to Cusco in perfect time for another night on the town if you so wish. Option 2:- Via Ferrata and Zip Line: The area around Cusco has some of the greatest activities on offer anywhere in the world. And we have picked the very best out for you. Your first activity will be a 400 metre Via Ferrata. Following pick up from your hostel in Cusco you ll be driven through the stunning sacred valley where you will be briefed and then roped up. It s a simple climb, but the scenery is second to none.
Following your rock climb, you will be provided with a lunch while sat on a ledge of the rock face, an experience not to be missed. From there, there is only one way down and that is the largest set of zip lines in the world. Spanning hundreds of metres across the valley, you will reach speeds in excess of 40 miles an hour on your journey. After a combination of six lines, you will find yourself back on the ground. From there we will deliver you back to Cusco for the evening. This activity will occupy most of your day, it is worth every minute! What s Included:- Pick up from Cusco and transport to both activities; Safety briefing and all equipment; guides; activity itself; lunch; return transport to Cusco Option 4 - Everything : Cusco and Huacachina + Both Additional Activities You may only experience Peru once in your lifetime, and if you should go again, it almost certainly won t be with a fantastic group of friends. On your first two days extension days in Cusco, one will involve the Giant Rope Swing and the second will be a day at the Via Ferrata and Zip-lining.
