Lamp Replacement High Power LED Retro Kit Regulatory Changes mean that many inefficient types of lamps including tungsten will no longer be available. Spiralling maintenance and energy costs mean that everyone needs to revisit convention. Lamp Replacement High Power LED Retro Kit - How does it work? For years illuminated signs used in radiation and laser protection have used fluorescent and tungsten lamps. Florescent lamps in continuous use applications, such as controlling areas and tungsten lamps for intermittent use for example when diagnostic equipment is actually in operation. Whilst the lamps have provided effective solutions technology has moved on and use of LED s will reduce energy consumption and extend maintenance intervals. So that these benefits can be achieved with minimal installation costs, Philip Payne have devised a range of retro fit kits that can be simply installed with minimal operational disruption. Once installed the retro kits will provide up to 50,000 hours (10 years) of maintenance free illumination and consume a fraction of the energy of previous solutions. The KIT (Fluorescent replacement) Before The kit comprises of all required fixings, electronics and the illuminating strip. 1. Isolate supply to fitting. 2. Replacement kits fix over existing lamp clips. 3. Existing componetry such as lamp holders and starters are simply removed and discarded. 4. The retro kit plate is screwed onto existing fixings. 5. Reconnect the LED strip and savings commence.
