How to find us: The office is located at the Wyoming Community Centre at 147 Maidens Brush Rd. The Vacation Care program operates from the grounds of Out Lady of the Rosary School on the corner of Henry Parry, Glennie and Cary Streets. Access is shown on the map. ACCESS and OPERATING HOURS: Our service operates from 6:30 am to 6:30pm. We ask that children arrive before 9:30 and leave after 3:30 whenever possible as gates are locked between those times. Please call 0427 376 547 and a staff member will come to open the gates. PLEASE NOTE: When arriving use the CARY St car park. Pick up is via the GLENNIE St car park. If you are unable to arrive by 6:30 pm please arrange for your nominee to collect your child and phone the service to advise. Late fees will apply for pick up after 6:30 pm. Please keep noise to a minimum when accessing the service as church personnel live on site.

With Autumn in the air we have organised some seasonal activities that get the children out into the great outdoors including a excursion to Wyoming Tennis Courts. We will also have a very special visit by the Mobile Video Games van. On top of a full range of fun activities we are excited to offer a trip to Putty Beach to take a scenic walk and build sand sculptures which should be a real treat for everyone involved. Book early for this one! If you haven t been before please see our website for our Parent Information Guide. www.wyomingcc.org.au CHILD SAFETY AND PROTECTION The Safety and Wellbeing of your Children is our First Priority. We are a locally managed Community based care service, approved by the Department of Education and Communities (Service Approval No: SE 00013740) & fully licenced by the Department of Employment, Education & Workplace Relations (DEEWR) for Child Care Benefits and Rebates. (1-6PX-3595). All supervisors are approved by the Australian Children s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA) and all our staff have: Current Working with Children checks Up to date First Aid Certificates including Asthma & Anaphylaxis Management. Undertaken Identify & Respond to Children at Risk training. We do NOT use volunteers, students on placement or older children to supervise your children.

FOOD! Children get hungry!! We do not provide food for children during Vacation Care. PLEASE PACK: A nutritious morning tea, A substantial lunch Afternoon snack A re-fillable drink bottle for excursions. PLEASE DO NOT SEND: Any nuts or food products containing nuts Fast food (McDonalds, KFC, Subway, etc.) Soft drinks. We would prefer that children do not bring chips and lollies. No cooking facilities, including microwaves, are available. Please inform staff if your child s food requires refrigeration. Please note this cannot be guaranteed as space is limited. WHAT TO WEAR Enclosed, non-slip shoes A Hat that protects their face, neck and ears. Sun-safe clothing that is suitable for the day s activities. We do use paint and glue and the children play outside. Halter neck tops, tank tops, singlets, thongs, Crocs, ballet slippers etc. are not suitable clothing & parents will be asked to return with more appropriate items Note: We provide a broad spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen for children and staff to use as required. MEDICATION A medical management plan is required for any child who has ongoing medical issues including asthma and allergies. Medication will only be accepted if it is in its original packaging or a Webster Pack and can only be administered if prescribed by a health professional. An authority form must be completed at the time of booking. No expectations. SPECIAL DAYS MINECRAFT DAY Children bring in a box for a Minecraft head WHEELS DAY Children need to bring in something to ride on. GAMES DAY Children are more the welcome to bring in their favourite board game. What NOT to bring. Mobile phones, toys, electronic games etc. They cause arguments & distress if the item is broken or lost. These items, if found, will be confiscated & returned at the end of the day. We do not accept responsibility for any personal item that is lost or broken.

The Fine Print FEES: Our current, daily standard fee is just $48.50* per child for up to 12 hours care. Fees are reduced by the amount of your Child Care Benefit and Rebate. (CCB and CCR). Generally CCB is automatically deducted from your fees. Even without CCB the maximum payable is less than $25 for a full day s activities after the Child Care Rebate. For some, the cost can be less than $4 per day! Compare these costs with other similar holiday activities. PAYMENT: We use Direct Debit for our fees to reduce administrative overheads. Fees are payable in full on the Friday prior to attendance, based on estimated CCB/CCR. Adjustments are processed by COB the following Wednesday. Late fees apply to overdue accounts and bookings will not be accepted if accounts are in arrears. Our Accounts policy is on our website. If you are experiencing financial hardship and require care due to work or study commitments please speak to the Manager or Coordinator prior to the holidays as we can, in certain circumstances, approve Special Child Care Benefit which will cover 100% of your fees. * Higher fees apply if direct debit is not used. PERMISSION NOTES: Children attending on Wednesday 8th & 15th April will need signed permission notes. These will be provided on the morning of the excursion when you sign in. ACTIVITIES AND SURCHARGES: As a Not for Profit, Community based organisation we aim to provide affordable child care for as many families as possible while ensuring that children attending Vacation Care experience the usual holiday activities. Where surcharges are added, it is to cover the cost of transport, entry fees, presenter fees, hire of equipment and wages for additional staff. CHILDREN WITH ADDITIONAL NEEDS: As a community organisation we try to accommodate all children. However, due to the additional staffing required, and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children, enrolment of children with additional needs is dependent on the activities planned, the number of children attending and the complexity of the issue. Please contact the Nominated Supervisor, Amanda Jefferys prior to the holidays to discuss your requirements. PLEASE BOOK EARLY: We conform to the Government s priority of access guidelines: 1. Children who are at risk or require emergency care 2. Children whose parents are working or studying 3. Any other child IF you are not booked in your child cannot be accepted. However, in an emergency we will always try to accommodate your needs. Please contact the Centre as soon as you are aware that you need care.

THUR 2 APR FAIRIES & HOBBITS DAY Being careful not to scare them away! We will be making fairy & hobbit houses and various other fun and exciting crafts to show our knowledge of these mythical creatures. TUES 7 APR MINI MA- CHINES DAY Today we will be creating small vehicles that are self powered which we ll race to see how fast and whose is the fastest! Science, mechanics and fun all in one day! WED 8 APR TENNIS EXCURSION This is a favourite activity with staff and children alike, when we walk to the Wyoming Tennis Courts for tennis instruction, games and fun. (+$5) THU 9 APR WHEELS DAY Always a popular day, children are welcome to bring bikes, skateboards and scooters to navigate an obstacle course and challenge each other to a race. FRI 10 APR SOLAR SYSTEM DAY We are going to look beyond Earth and discover our solar system with crafts and activities to help us explore the depths of space. MON 13 APR RED DESERT DAY TUES 14 APR MINECRAFT DAY WED 15APR PUTTY BEACH THU 16 APR VIDEO GAMES DAY FRI 17 APR BOARD GAMES DAY Taking a trek in the desert won t be the only exciting thing happening today. We will also be involved in map reading skills and much more We have listened to the children and decided what better way to enjoy one of there favourite video games then make a day out of it. It will be full of fun Minecraft activities and craft We will travel by bus to the Maitland Bay carpark in the Bouddi National Park then walk through the bush to Putty Beach where we will be build giant sand sculptures. A mobile van full of the latest games that will appeal to boys and girls will be onsite for most of the day. A screen on the outside of the van means that no-one will miss anything! For the final day of the holidays we offer friendly competitiveness, team work and lots of fun games! Don t miss out.
