Introduction This document provides information about the installation procedure for the Desktop Push-to-Talk (PTT) Client. This installer helps users install the Desktop PTT Client. 1.1 Purpose This installer is used for installing the Desktop PTT Client. 1.2 About This Manual The Desktop PTT Client Installation Guide discusses the installation, repair and uninstallation process of the Desktop PTT Client. Pre-requisites This chapter describes the hardware and software prerequisites for the Desktop PTT Client installation. Requirements Hardware Software Pre-requisites 1. Required Disk Size: 20 MB 2. Built-in or plug-in headphone/ microphone/speaker 1. Operating system: Windows XP, Windows 7 (32-bit/64-bit) 2. Net Framework 3.5 3. 3. Desktop PTT Client Installation This chapter describes t h e installation procedure for the Desktop PTT Client. To install: 1. Download the EPTT_PC_CLIENT_EXEC.msi file from the activation email. Tip: Please disable Firewall services before installing the Desktop PTT Client. Note: The Desktop PTT Client can only be installed by an Administrator on a Windows 7 or XP computer. 2. Click EPTT_PC_CLIENT_EXEC.msi and then click Run to start the installation process. A Welcome window is displayed as shown in Figure 1. A Select Installation Folder window is displayed as shown in Figure 2. Figure 2: Select Installation Folder Window 4. Select the desired directory to install the Desktop PTT Client. 5. Select: Just me option to install the Desktop PTT Client only for the current user account and then click Next. OR Everyone option to install the Desktop PTT Client for all the user accounts and then click Next. Note: Click Disk Cost to check the disk space on all the memory partitions and click OK to return to the Select Installation Folder window. By default, C:\Program Files\AT&T\ AT&T EPTT PreInstaller\ path is selected for the Desktop PTT Client installation. To install the folder to a different location, click Browse and select the location accordingly. 4
A Confirm Installation window appears as shown in Figure 3. Figure 3: Confirm Installation Window 6. Click Next to install the Desktop PTT Client. An Installing AT&T EPTT PreInstaller window appears as shown in Figure 4. Figure 4: Installing AT&T EPTT PreInstaller Window 5
Note: Click Cancel to abort the process. 7. Click Close to close the Installation Complete window, after successful installation of PreInstaller as shown in Figure 5. Once the Installation of PreInstaller completes, an Update Information window will launch, which will check for the updated EPTT application as shown in Figure 6. 9. Click Update to download and install the updates as shown in Figures 7 and 8. Figure 7: Downloading and Installing Updates Window 8. Click Start>All Programs>AT&T EPTT to launch the Desktop PTT Client. OR Click the AT&T EPTT icon on the desktop to launch the Desktop PTT Client. Figure 8: Downloading and Installing Updates Window 7

12. Select the desired directory to install the Desktop PTT Client. 13. Select: Just me option to install the Desktop PTT Client only for the current user account and then click Next. OR Everyone option to install the Desktop PTT Client for all the user accounts and then click Next. By default, C:\Program Files\Kodiak\ AT& &T EPTT\ path is selected for the Desktop PTT Client installation. Click Close to close the Installation Complete window, after successful installation as shown in Figure 13. Figure 13 : Installation Complete Window 10 16: Click Finish to close the Update Successful Window after successful installation of the updated client as shown in Figure 14.
Figure 14: Update Successful Window 17. Click C:\Program File\Kodiak\ AT&T EPTT\ to launch the Desktop PTT Client. Note: Do NOT launch the Desktop PTT client from a short cut on the desktop. Always launch the client from the program folder indicated above. 11
4. Desktop PTT Client Uninstallation This chapter describes the procedure to uninstall the Desktop PTT Client. To remove: 1. Go to the Control Panel and select Programs and Features. 2. Right-click on AT&T EPTT listed in the program list and select the Uninstall Option as shown in Figure 15. Figure 1 5 : List of Programs in Program and Features 3. Click Yes if asked for uninstall confirmation. The computer will display an uninstallation progress bar as shown in Figure 16. Figure 1 6 : AT&T EPTT Uninstallation Progress Bar Window 12
4. Once the uninstallation process completes, the uninstallation progress bar will automatically close. 5. Right-click on AT&T EPTT PreInstaller listed in the program list and select the Uninstall Option as shown in Figure 17. Figure 1 7 : List of Programs in Program and Features 6. The computer will display an uninstallation progress bar. Once AT&T EPTT PreInstaller uninstallation process completes, the uninstallation progress bar will automatically close. 13
