Our Network Novell -Our network on Campus is Novell HFC Universal Passwords HFC uses one username and password for all systems, including WebAdvisor, Moodlerooms, HawkMail, and wireless. You must change your Universal Password every 6-12 months. See Change My Password and Reset Password slides. Much more information is located at our Computer Help Desk website: https://dvc.hfcc.net/
Finding your Userid From our home website: www.hfcc.edu Click on Password Help
Finding your Userid Then click on What s My User ID
Finding your Userid Insert your Last Name And One of the following: Social Security Number OR HANK ID Number (Student Number) Click Submit and you will be given your UserID.
New User If you are a brand new student and have never accessed any part of our services, click on: Activate My Account
New User To use this you have to answer the following four pieces of information: LoginID (userid); HankID (student number); Last Name and Last 4 of your Soc Sec # (Foreign students cannot use Activation and must use Change My Password.) Click Activate.

Changing your Password You can change your password here if you know your password or if you are not able to use Activate Account. If you know your password enter it. If you have never changed your password, try using your 4 digit (mmdd) birthday (not year).

Changing your Password When you receive this message, your password has been changed successfully. Click Continue to set up your Challenge Questions if you haven t already set them up. Challenge Questions are a very important part of our Password System.
Has my password Expired? 1. My password doesn t work on anything except Webadvisor. 2. When was the last time that you changed your password? 3. Did you know that all passwords expire every 6 12 months? 1. Click on: Is my password expired?
Enter your HANK ID # or Login Name and click Search. This will show you your password expiration date and if you have any grace logins to change your password.
Resetting My Password You can ONLY use: Reset My Password if you have already set up your Challenge Questions.

What if I forgot my Challenge Questions? To change your Challenge Questions, you must know your password. Click Setup My Challenge Questions Log in with your UserId and Password Re-choose and Answer your Challenge Questions

WebAdvisor WebAdvisor is a resource tool to assist students in many areas. Signing up for Classes Grades Financial Aid information Click Log In Enter your Universal UserID and Password
Using WebAdvisor Webadvisor is used to access your HFC information Financial Aid information Class Schedule, Grades and Transcripts Update Current address and phone number.
H: drive and K: drive Each student while going to school at HFC, has a piece of the network to store documents. This is called the H: drive. You can access this through the computers on campus or through the internet. https://my.hfcc.edu Click on Access your personal H: or K: drive Log in with your Universal UserId and Password. If you need to access the K: drive, log into H: drive and then click on Net Folders.
Student Hawkmail
Hawkmail HFC Students have a lifetime email powered by Google. You still use your Universal UserId and Password to log in. Most instructors would prefer to communicate through your Hawkmail account. Your email address is: youruserid@hawkmail.hfcc.edu
. Moodlerooms Moddlerooms is used by HFC for online classes. If you have an online class, you login with your Universal UserId and Password. Remember: Moddlerooms is available two days before the start of class.
