Job title: Business Development Administrator Band: 2 Group: Work location: Responsible to: Resources Group Gloucester Business Support Manager Job purpose The post holder will carry out a full range of tasks undertaken by the Business Support Team and will deliver dedicated administrative support for business development activities and projects within the Business Development team. The post holder will ensure the provision of excellent customer service to QAA's internal and external customers. Main duties and responsibilities Business Development duties Provide administrative support to all business development activity, working closely with the Business Development Coordinator and the Business Development Manager. Provide administrative support for international business development activities as required. This includes the booking of UK and overseas travel and accommodation taking into account visa, immunisation, passport, identity verification and other requirements. Provide proactive personal assistant support to the Head of Business Strategy and Development, including but not limited to: inbox and diary management coordination of internal and external meetings taking responsibility for booking venues, conference facilities, travel and catering arrangements in accordance with QAA policy supporting meetings, including the collation and distribution of papers, and taking notes and minutes at meetings. First point of contact for all business development related enquiries, responding within agreed service levels and escalating enquiries to colleagues within the Business Development team. Support the recruitment and appointment of associates. Provide administrative support for business development events, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of event processes and administration requirements.
Business Support duties Accurately process fees and expense claims within defined timescales. Liaise with Finance in the issuing of quotes and invoices and maintain accurate financial records. Records management and filing. Maintain risk and issue logs. Maintain database of customers and business opportunities. Provide reliable reception and enquiries cover ensuring all relevant processes are maintained and performed professionally. Develop and maintain a sound understanding of the work of QAA. Provide support/cover across all core work areas that the Business Support Team has responsibility, where necessary ensuring continuity of workflow and consistency of support. Work effectively with other teams to ensure administrative processes are streamlined and effective. Develop effective and professional relationships with colleagues, both internally and externally. Hours of work Hours of work will be 35 per week. QAA's normal business hours are 09.00 until 17.00, Monday to Friday, with one hour for lunch. Salary This role is at Band 2, with salary starting at 16,240. Depending on experience, skills and knowledge, the appointment salary may be higher than 16,240 up to 20,300. Progression through the band will be linked to an individual's performance and contribution to QAA. Annual Leave Staff are entitled to all public holidays with an additional six days (five days at Christmas and one day after Easter Monday), together with a full-time annual leave allowance of 25 days, rising to 28 days after two years and 30 days after five years.
