Introduction St Barnabas Church have a range of rooms available to hire for a variety of events and occasions; from formal events and academic lectures, to children s parties and exercise classes, we have options for all. The main building of St Barnabas Church offers four differing spaces, whilst The St Barnabas Centre offers two separate and distinctive rooms. An abundance of bright, interesting and undeniably beautiful spaces available to you. Our buildings have undergone a year of highly sympathetic and tasteful refurbishment. The final result sees an abundance of bright, interesting and undeniably beautiful spaces available to you. From the stunning area of the Main Church to the cosy and quirky Lounge in the St Barnabas Centre, we hope to be able to offer the right space for you. The Main Church Building Main Church The stunning main area of our church offers a breath taking backdrop for your event. Framed by double Victorian sandstone colonnades and featuring colourful stained glass windows this space is simply outstanding. With a floor space of nearly four hundred square meters it can cater for up to 350 people. Yet despite its size, the main church has a fantastically warm atmosphere that will translate to your event. With such versatility, this space would be perfect for a catering event, a musical concert, an academic lecture and many other large gatherings. Kitchen facilities and servery are 4
The Square The Square is a spacious area adjoining the main church. It is flooded with light from its triple facing windows, and with eighty two square metres of clear space, it offers a fresh and tasteful area to host events in. The Square s high ceilings, historically significant mural by Frederick Leach of the William Morris School, and large, elegantly wrought glass screen, all contribute to create an atmosphere that will not fail to deliver a great space for entertaining up to 75 guests. The Main Church Building The Upper Hall The Upper Hall is a first floor room within the main church building that once again offers a large clean and fresh space for any type of event or usage. Its large windows mean it is bright and spacious, and with ninety three square metres of floor space, it can offer a capacity of entertaining 75 people. Its main feature of an interesting and eye catching stained glass window brings a burst of colour into this clean white space. A great space for exams or assemblies, and also suitable for lectures and classes. Unfortunately disabled access is currently unavailable to this room. 6
The Meeting Room The Meeting Room is a small and warm space within our church that is suitable for smaller gatherings of up to ten people. It offers a comfortable and inviting environment with its contemporary arm chairs and the option of available kitchen facilities. An ideal space for small meetings and classes. The St Barnabas Centre The St Barnabas Centre is a separate building to the main church. With its own off street entrance, it is a great selfcontained entertainment space. It includes toilet facilities and a small kitchen, with serveries to both rooms. With two distinct rooms it can be hired in separate parts or as a whole. The Old School Lounge This is a great space for comfortable entertaining. The Old School Lounge in the St Barnabas Centre has a wonderfully high ceiling that lends it a sense of quirkiness. With access to small kitchen facilities and a suitable capacity for ten to fifteen people, this is the perfect small venue for meetings and gatherings. If you want a snug space that is equally interesting and spacious, this is the spot for you. Disabled access and facilities are available in the St Barnabas Centre. 8
The Old School Hall The Old School hall in the St Barnabas Centre is spacious and bright with plenty of light and access to small kitchen facilities. It would be the perfect venue for exercise classes offering around one hundred square metres of open floor space and a capacity of up to 100 people. With its wonderful versatility and elegance, this room could equally be an ideal venue for a sophisticated soirée or an upbeat acoustic night. Either way it offers the potential to be a truly special venue. Disabled access and facilities are available in the St Barnabas Centre. 9
Room Prices All charges are at an hourly rate. Charity bookings apply to voluntary organisations, charities, and other non-profit organisations. Standard bookings apply to all other users.
