JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: DEPARTMENT/FUNCTION: BASE/AREA: BAND/LEVEL: INVESTOR RELATIONS MANAGER GROUP FINANCE INVESTOR RELATIONS PENINSULA HOUSE C 1. JOB PURPOSE: Reporting directly to the Group Director of Finance, The Investor Relations Manager acts as the principal conduit between the Company and the City. They are responsible for managing the Company s capital market communications to ensure that the Company is fairly and fully valued thereby allowing finance to be raised cost effectively. 2. CORE DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 3.1 Create, implement and control a proactive investor relations strategy with a view to building and maintaining strong relationships with sell-side analysts, institutional investors, banks and brokers and a wide range of service providers specialising in IR and corporate communications maintaining analyst and stockbroker interest in the Company Seeking to create new investor interest where appropriate Relationship Management 3.2 Brief senior management on investor sentiment; work with them to develop financial communications and also corporate press releases of a market sensitive nature. Ensure all are produced on a timely basis and to a high standard 3.3 Maintain personal contact with City analysts, institutional investors and local financial institutions Liaise with investors, potential investors and analysts to effectively communicate the company s financial performance, strategy, markets, operations and prospects Work with analysts to continue to improve understanding of Pennon value / prospects Provide feedback to analysts on models based on publicly disclosed information 3.4 Engage and consult with the company s corporate brokers on material market events, including results reporting and major corporate announcements, incorporating their advice as appropriate 3.5 Manage the day to day relationship with the Group s financial PR consultants including working with them to optimise city press contacts / relationships 3.6 Maintain contact with other IR managers, particularly in the other WASCs 3.7 Management of Pennon s relationship with the Theatre Royal, Plymouth Functional Responsibilities 3.8 Manage all aspects of the Preliminary Results and Half Year Results processes 3.9 Produce investor relations information packs for use in investor meetings 3.10 Analyse institutional investment strategies of shareholders and potential shareholders, including researching and maintaining databases on investors and analysts 3.11 Develop an investor targeting programme
3.12 Ensure that all forms of communication with the City are within the guidelines of LSE legislation and good corporate governance, and keep up to date with current requirements and good IR practice 3.13 Travel and partake in investor roadshows (both in the UK and abroad) and attend relevant conferences 3.14 Manage and develop the IR website, webcast and other digital communications channels 3.15 Project manage update of the Defence Manual and follow up activities, particularly maintaining focus on defence preparedness 3.16 Take responsibility for the delivery of other ad hoc projects as required by the Group Director of Finance 3.17 Manage Investor Relations section within budget
