Goal 10 Highly Effective Teachers TIF grant for performance based compensation not awarded, but grant work prepared staff on best practices; gathered input from UEA, ATPE, TSTA and principals National Institute for Excellence in Teaching 4 schools selected to pilot a new teacher appraisal process; focus on coaching to improve performance and includes a rubric that uses a comprehensive approach to teacher evaluation. All teachers to be appraised; 228 teachers and 11 administrators trained Competitive compensation RFQ issued for HR consulting services; Board presentation in November; services to include: review of current salary structure for proper alignment, external market analysis of salaries; roadmap for transition to competitive compensation plan with a supporting evaluation system.
